Hong Kong

Hong Kong what a city!

Busy, vibrant and some serious shopping to be done!

Start with the Star ferry for the famous bay crossing, an institution for the locals and a mythical voyage that the national Geographical Traveller magazine lists as one of their 50 experiences of a lifetime. From the boat you can appreciate what some consider as being the most beautiful skyline in the worlds, where the skyscrapers are set against the city's highest hills.

The small Tramway museum is part of the city's colonial heritage that has been functioning for more than 120 years. Ascend by the tram to Victoria Peak which take around five minutes (sit on the right for the best views). It is a steep 27 degrees! The peak is the highest point in Hong Kong (552 metres) and is truly a great place to come to escape the summer heat. There’s a magnificent 360 degree view from the Sky Terrace 428 where, when the weather is good, you can see both the tip of Kowloon and the neighbouring island of Lantau and Lamma - both worth a visit if you have a few days.
