I joined Travel Counsellors just under a year ago and had heard all about the ‘Family Fun Days’ so as soon as this year’s was announced at Alton Towers I quickly registered my husband, daughter and I to attend. There was great excitement as the day approached as Jessica, our 4 year old, had never been to a theme park before and was very excited to visit CBeebies Land and also to meet some other Travel Counsellors in ‘real life’! The day itself was fantastic and the organisation brilliant. From the moment we arrived we felt we were part of something special. It was lovely to wear the specially designed t shirts and to be able to recognise other Travel Counsellors and smile and have a chat with them throughout the day. It was a great opportunity to meet people that I had only spoken to ‘virtually’ before! Over the delicious lunch we had a short presentation from Steve Bryne, our Managing Director and Angela Hall from Royal Caribbean Cruise Line showcasing their fabulous cruises. Something Steve said really stuck a chord with me. He spoke about Travel Counsellors and how the day was for them and their family’s to enjoy, as that’s what Travel Counsellors is all about. This is one of the main reasons I joined Travel Counsellors, it really is like being part of a large extended family. The company support and encourage you to succeed in your business with fantastic training and technology, plus the business development team are always there to support you. I can spend more time with my husband and our daughter and can work around the school run, meaning I am available for my clients at hours that suits them and am always only a phone call away. I feel so lucky to have achieved a perfect work and family life balance. My family thoroughly enjoyed our first Travel Counsellors family fun day and shall definitely be there next year - although we hopefully won’t get as wet on the log flume next time! I’m looking forward to celebrating my first year as a Travel Counsellor and cannot wait to see what the future holds. I absolutely love what I do and have only one regret – why on earth didn’t I become a Travel Counsellors earlier!

I have just returned from Tunisia with my husband and young daughter. We stayed at the Sahara Beach Hotel in Skanes and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Upon arrival we were greeted with a cool drink and escorted to our room. The room was small and basic but spotlessly clean and had everything you need in it. The hotel is lovely with a large swimming pool, relaxation pool, children's pool, entertainment pool and indoor pool. I must admit we didn't brave the outside pools as they were cold but the indoor pool was great! There are two restaurants at the hotel; the main buffet restaurant which serves a wide variety dishes at every mealtime and the snack bar by the beach which serves freshly made pizza, burgers and sandwiches. The animation team work endlessly from first thing in the morning to last thing at night keeping the guests entertained and the children happy in a fantastic children's club. There are nightly shows which are great to watch in the show bar with a drink or two! The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are really friendly and will welcome you with open arms. We really did enjoy our stay and will return. If you would like any further information please just get in touch.

I recently visited Haven Lakeland Holiday Park for a three night break with family members ranging in age from three to 68! The holiday park is in a fantastic location and was spotlessly clean. The staff cannot do enough to help you. The facilities are excellent and include three pools, one indoor and one outdoor. An on-site shop, crazy golf and children's play area. What really made our break was the parks location. The park is in a fantastic location and during our weekend we visited Grange Over Sands, a small town which is only a 10 minute drive and packed with shops, cafes and a lovely park with a large lake, ideal for feeding the ducks! We also stumbled across Cartmel, a lovely little village. There happened to be a village fete taking place which involved everything from Morris dancers to duck racing, we felt like we had been transformed back in time! And of course no visit to the Lake District is complete without going to Windermere. There is lots of stunning scenery to be seen which can be enjoyed on land or on one of the many boats on the lake. The holiday park is definitely worth another visit as we only saw a small fraction of what this area has to offer. We will be back!

I have travelled to the Maldives twice with my husband and both times it has been out of this world. We stayed at the Sun Island Resort, travelling by seaplane which gives you spectacular views of the islands. Upon landing we were given a warm welcome drink and a refreshing face towel, both of which were gratefully received after such a long journey. We were taken to our water bungalow which was truly breath-taking with sun loungers on the patio with steps leading directly into the clear shallow ocean. The Maldives are beautiful and it’s fair to say we didn't do too much except relax for two weeks, lazing by the pool having our drinks replenished by the poolside waiter! We did however, do an excursion to see the dolphins. We were up and on a boat by 5.30am to see the dolphins in their natural habitat, and amazing and well worth the early start. The hotel itself is fantastic and spotlessly clean, the staff work so hard and always have a smile for you. On tip I would give is make sure you travel all inclusive as the drinks and food are very expensive as everything has to be imported into the islands. If you are looking for a perfect honeymoon or just a completely relaxing holiday, the Maldives is for you.

We have been on our family holiday to the Sunwing Resort Fanabe in Costa Adeje for the past two years and cannot fault the hotel or area. Upon arriving at the hotel, first impressions are that it's not as 'glitzy' as others. By this I mean that there aren't any chandeliers or marble flooring in reception. What you soon come to realise is that this hotel is very practical for families. The Sunwing Resort Fanabe is spotlessly clean with three swimming pools, the main pool, toddler pool and baby pool. The apartments have everything you could need in them - kitchenette including coffee machine, microwave and a large fridge. If you upgrade to a 'Happy Baby room' you also receive a highchair, play-mat and baby bouncer in your room. The staff here are outstanding, always smiling and happy to help and the two children's characters make any child's holiday perfect! Outside of the hotel in Costa Adeje you will find many shops, bars and restaurants all at very reasonable prices. The nightlife is on the quieter side but there are some lovely bars on the promenade to sit and watch the beautiful sunsets I cannot praise this hotel and resort enough; both are ideal for a perfect family holiday. We love it so much we are going for a third time. Hope to see you there!
