Seabourn Moments

Having cruised on some of the world's largest ships, I was really looking forward to trying something different - and Seabourn Sojourn didn't disappoint!

With only 225 suites, this is an entirely different experience to cruising on a large cruise liner. The size of the ship means that it can go into some of the smaller ports that the larger ships can't go and our itinerary was spot on and we set sail from Barcelona to St Tropez, Calvi, Sete, Marseille, Palamos and back to Barcelona.

Being able to sail so close to St Tropez was amazing and felt very glamorous and taking the small tender boats straight into the harbour was amazing!

Clients who have travelled with Seabourn have always mentioned the 'Seabourn Moments' and I was keen to find out exactly what these were. This is one of the things where Seabourn excel - creating lasting impressions through excelling in customer service. The crew to guest ratio allows the crew to get to quickly get to know the guests. I was amazed at how many people remembered my name - and loved the way they remembered how much I loved the guacamole at lunch and were soon bringing me extra helpings as soon as we sat down for lunch - a classic Seabourn Moment of my own!

Our balcony stateroom was really spacious, light and airy. We had a walk in wardrobe and the biggest bathroom I have ever seen at sea. Our mini-bar was pre-stocked with our favourite spirits and nothing was too much trouble for our stateroom attendant. We also had personalised stationery in our stateroom.

The food was out of this world. Leisurely, cooked to order breakfasts taken outside as we sailed into port was a great start to each day. Lunch served by the patio pool bar was amazing with lots of choice of fresh fish, meats and salads and dinner was a gastronomic delight! Special mention to the lovely soufflés with almost floated off the plate.

There was plenty of open spaces for relaxing on the ship during he day and the attentive and intuitive crew did an excellent job of looking after us.
