It's Nice To Meet You

Hello, my name is Simon and thank you for visiting my page. I am your personal Travel Counsellor from Hazel Grove in Stockport who can answer any questions regarding your future booking.

My passion of travel has driven me into becoming a Travel Counsellor and the enjoyment it brings me building up such wonderful itineraries whether that be short haul, long haul, weddings, honeymoons, ski, safari or cruise.

Whatever you want I create tailor made trips to deliver long lasting memories for you and your family.
I truly believe that communication is key when booking a holiday from the very beginning. To find out your likes, dislikes in order for me to get the right holiday. It doesn’t stop there, I’ll be on hand every step of the way of your journey from start to finish, so just pick up the phone and ask any questions. There is no such thing as a stupid question, I should know I ask them all the time ??

I’ve been very lucky to travel to a number of lovely places over the years USA (Florida, New York, Boston), Mexico, Cyprus, Balearic and Canary Islands along with lots of brilliant European Cities (Barcelona, Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen etc).
My favourite holiday so far has to be Barcelona because you have the culture, the vibrant city, lots of tourist locations (Park Guell and La Sagrada Familia to name a couple) along with having wonderful beaches.

I pride myself on providing the highest standard of personal service and if I cannot help you, I will endeavour to find out with the support of over 1400 colleagues who are fellow TC’s.

Beautiful Barcelona

Most people think Barcelona is just another normal city break but they would be wrong. Our trip to Barcelona was amazing!! We went for a belated 40th, I was almost 42 when we travelled due to Covid. We went as a family of 9 over 3 generations. We travelled in April 2022 and stayed for 7 nights as we thought there was so much to do in a wonderful city. We were not disappointed! We stayed in the centre of Barcelona in the Grupotel Gran Via hotel. It was in a great location where we could walk to most locations within Barcelona. The weather at this time of year was great, warm weather every day apart from 1 day when it decided to be very windy and cold on our open top bus tour. These tours are a great way to visit a city before you go to visit the attractions or to visit attractions that are slightly to far to walk too like the Nou Camp Football Stadium. During our time in Barcelona, we went on many trips, some cultural, some exciting trips, some more slow paced and some more adrenaline packed. During our time we went to the very picturesque Parc Guell, Our sporty family loved the Nou Camp, we visited the port area and went to Barcelona Aquarium, visited the Gothic Quarter, went down La Ramblas, Tibidabo Amusement Park, We visited and went inside the world famous La Sagrada Familia. What a gorgeous cathedral the whole family enjoyed. My best part of the week was visiting the Arc De Triomf on route to Parc De La Ciutadella. This to me was stunning. They had performers and street artists along the promenade, Huge palm trees either side with bright blue skies, the atmosphere was brilliant with lots of laughter by my two youngest children. Just magical and it didn’t cost a penny. Parc De La Ciutadella was just as impressive which houses its own zoo. My favourite place to eat was along the beach at the delicious Sal Mar restaurant which was on the picturesque Barceloneta Beach. You can eat inside but we managed to reserve a table on the beach! The views were to die for, the food was superb. I’d highly recommend the Seafood Paella YUM!! We packed a lot into the week as you can tell by the itinerary photo attached but we could have stayed there longer. Wonderful stay in a beautiful city. I contacted Simon after many many years (we went to school together) and asked if he would help with organising our honeymoon (covid wedding). He came back to us very quickly with options for us, taking away the stress of decisions, decisions, decisions and came back with a great holiday for us to Italy. We gave Simon a list of where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do in Australia. He turned this into a couple of options. The final itinerary had 8 flights, 1 car hire, 11 hotels and 13 excursions - it all worked perfectly. He provided prompt responses to the few queries we had while we were away. Absolutely brilliant.

I can not rate Simon highly enough!! Simon took all the stress out of booking a ‘Special Birthday’ Group Holiday for myself & 10 other ladies. I was struggling on the usual holiday websites as they would only allow up to 8 or 9 people on the booking ‘as we were classed as a group booking’ then getting incredibly frustrated at having to ring companies & wait for ages, then told I had to book it immediately, without checking with the others - it was spoiling the excitement of going away!!! Then I saw a recommendation for Simon on a FB page, emailed our requirements & he offered us 3 holidays to choose from. He was not pushy, in fact incredibly patient and found us a great holiday! Simon has been patient beyond belief! Every suggestion we made to him for a possible destination for our holiday he researched and came back with three possible options.
