Dynamic Dominica
We sailed into Dominica on boxing day
What a gem of an island! Whenever I mentioned Dominica, everyone assumed Dominican Republic. But this island is completely different to its namesake! It has a small population, and has so much to see.
We could have easily done 5 excursions on this island, deciding to do the 4x4 army truck island tour half-day, which gave us a real feel to the island. We also visited the Botanical Gardens and hot springs, as well as swimming in the mineral pool that was used in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie, which leads to a waterfall.
Dominica is really beautiful with hot sulphur pools and very lush because of the volcanic soils.
