Luxury Afternoon Tea trip

The Northern Belle is a train that operates in the Midlands and the North of England. There are 'different day outs' you can explore through out the year. I was on the 'afternoon tea' experience (as I love cake) for a birthday celebration. So we set out from Coventry station heading for Wales and back . Everybody on board was all dressed up for the occasion in their finery . The staff were amazing on board especailly when i accidentally spilled my prosecco - they completely relaid the table - superb service The processo flowed all day and so did the tea and coffee. The sandwiches and cakes were lovely plus the quiche and scotch eggs ( plus they came around with seconds) I have to say we were full and on the train for 7 hours it went so quickly and gave us time to catch up with friends on a wonderful sunny september day The staff were no engaging and friendly and the train transports you back in time a lovely day out and worth every penny
