Heavenly Hong Kong

I was lucky enough to have an educational visit to the vibrant city of Hong Kong.

Fabulous views of Hong Kong can be seen from the Peak, which is reached by the exciting funicular railway. I loved travelling across from Kowloon to Hong Kong Island on the Star Ferry in the evening and seeing the amazing light displays. The floating harbour at Aberdeen is a must, where local people live on board their boats.

What a place to shop! From getting bargains at Stanley Market to sophisticated designer stores in the shopping malls.

The food was amazing - it is so worth trying a typical Cantonese restaurant. Also worth trying is the Russian Ice Bar, where you literally don fur coats and hats and enter a fridge to drink shots of vodka!! Quite hilarious!

Hong Kong has something for everyone, even Disneyworld - fantastic for a city break or a stopover en route to Australia. You will not be disappointed.
