Ultra Luxury Cruising
Luxury cruise where you feel like a VIP
A little insight into ultimate luxury cruising with Regent Seven Seas
I
was recently lucky enough to sail on Regent Seven Seas Splendor for four
unforgettable nights and it completely reset my idea of what ultra‑luxury
cruising really feels like. From the moment the tickets arrived in a smart
leather wallet, I knew this was going to be something special. Embarkation at
the port was smooth and unhurried, and as I stepped on board I was welcomed
with Champagne and warm smiles from the crew, instantly made to feel like a
true VIP. One of the first things that struck me was that every cabin is a
suite, so there are no compromises: my suite was beautifully spacious, with
high‑end toiletries, a well‑stocked minibar set up with my preferred drinks,
and 24‑hour room service. I could have breakfast on my balcony, enjoy snacks or
even a full dinner in the comfort of my own space whenever I wished. Dining
around the ship was a real highlight too, with a choice of venues from relaxed
spots to speciality restaurants, but what really stood out was that despite the
elegance it never felt stuffy. The atmosphere is refined yet friendly, and
everyone is treated exactly the same regardless of which suite category they
are in. The service is where Regent truly shines. From day one the crew called
me by name and, incredibly, remembered my favourite drink so that when I went
down the next day it was already waiting for me. It is that level of
thoughtful, personal attention that makes you feel genuinely cared for rather
than just another guest. The all‑inclusive nature of the experience takes
things even further: unlimited premium beverages are included, as are shore
excursions in every port, so you can explore without constantly thinking about
extra costs. There is complimentary access to spa thermal areas for when you
want to unwind, and you can even join classes in the Culinary Arts Kitchen to
learn new skills and feel like a chef for the day. Because Splendor is a
smaller ultra‑luxury ship, it has a more intimate, uncrowded feel and can reach
smaller, more interesting ports that the big ships simply cannot access, which
opens up some truly special itineraries. After four nights on board, my
overwhelming impression was of space, quality and ease: nothing felt like an
effort, everything felt included, and the service was consistently exceptional.
If you love the idea of being treated as a VIP, enjoying fine food and high‑end
drinks, exploring fascinating ports and returning each day to a beautiful
suite, it is hard to imagine a more rewarding way to cruise. Why wouldn’t you
want to experience a cruise line like this at least once in your life? If you
are curious about Regent Seven Seas Splendor or would like help choosing the
right voyage, I would be delighted to share more from my time on board and
tailor the perfect ultra‑luxury cruise for you.
