Aircraft in the sky highlighting global travel disruption and changing flight routes

Why Booking with a Travel Expert Matters More Than Ever

Real client stories from a week of disruption and how expert support kept travel plans on track

Recent events in the Middle East have shown how quickly travel plans can change. Having a trusted travel expert ensures support, guidance, and solutions when it matters most.

If the past week has shown us anything, it is this: when travel becomes uncertain, who you book with matters more than ever.

With the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, I have spent much of my time not just planning travel, but actively protecting it. While headlines focus on disruption, behind the scenes there are real people facing cancelled flights, changed routes, and in some cases, the disappointment of not being able to travel at all. It is also important to recognise that for many living in the region, this is far more than an inconvenience. It is a deeply unsettling time, and travel disruption is just one small part of a much bigger picture.

But in moments like this, the difference between booking online and booking with a trusted travel expert becomes very clear.

This week alone, I have supported clients through two very different situations.

One client was due to travel to Dubai. With the situation escalating, their trip was no longer possible. Instead of hours spent trying to contact airlines or suppliers, they had one point of contact. I handled everything on their behalf and secured a full refund. No stress, no uncertainty, no being left in a queue wondering what happens next.

At the same time, I have a family travelling to Thailand over the Easter holidays. Their original flights routed via Dubai were no longer viable. Rather than cancelling their plans, I was able to step in quickly, source alternative flights with another airline, and rebook their journey so they can still travel on the same dates. Their holiday remains intact, with minimal disruption.

These are not isolated cases. They are exactly the moments where experience, relationships, and industry knowledge make all the difference.

When you book online, you are often left navigating complex situations alone. Long wait times, limited flexibility, and unclear communication can turn an already stressful situation into something far more overwhelming. I have heard too many stories this week of travellers struggling to get through to anyone who can help.

When you book with me, you are not just booking a holiday. You are gaining an advocate.

Someone who answers the phone when you need reassurance. Someone who understands airline policies, alternative routing options, and how to act quickly when plans change. Someone who takes ownership of the problem so you do not have to.

Travel will always carry an element of unpredictability. That has never been more evident than it is today. But having the right person in your corner changes everything.

If you are planning a trip, or even just considering one, it is worth asking yourself a simple question.

If something changes, who will be there to help you?

Because this is exactly when I come into my own.
