Lodge and hot-tub stay in England - April 2025
This Easter holidays we had a week away in the Midlands, close to Tamworth, and we chose the location based on where I could find a good value lodge with hot-tub! Once we had found somewhere, we then researched what to do in the local area.
We were very fortunate with the weather which did help a lot. We even managed an al fresco dinner one evening on the balcony as the sun went down.
Over the week, we did mountain biking at Cannock Chase (which resulted in a visit to Minor Injuries but all was fine!!), skied indoors on real snow (I have only skied in the mountains before!), did a day at Alton Towers, visited the National Arboretum, ice-skated and then went to Sherwood Forest for more mountain-biking!
It ended up being a great and action-packed week.
If you want to get away in the UK, remember I can book lodges, cottages and holiday parks. We paid less than £700 for the week in school holidays and had a private hot-tub! The change of scenery was definitely welcomed and despite the horrible M25/M1 journey up, it was nice to have no airports to navigate!
