Corfu All Inclusive - July 2022
We love Greece and when the Grecotel Costa Botanica came up, it seemed like the perfect option.
The hotel has an on-site waterpark with plenty of choice of slides, a games pool and a lazy river. We hardly had to queue and there was a bar on-site where we could get snacks and drinks included on the all-inclusive!
I had researched places for a sandy beach and despite the promises of fine golden sand, I was a little disappointed with how shingly and rocky it was in places. But we still enjoyed our time on the beach, with views of Albania, and we enjoyed making sandcastles and playing in the sea!
The choice of food, if I’m honest, was a little limited and repetitive. We only had the option of the main buffet as there was no availability at the a la carte the whole time we were there. That said, the kids still loved being able to try different things and they enjoyed it a lot, particularly the wood-fired pizza available daily for lunch and dinner!
The sweet pancakes available as snacks around the hotel we re a highlight of the food for me, and we definitely had a few too many, but why not when you’re on holiday!
The rooms were a little dated and basic but clean and large in size. The hotel is spread out over pretty gardens and mostly it didn’t feel like it was very busy, we just noticed it at the main pool during the day and at the buffet. We got into a habit of going down to the pool in the evening for sunset and very few people were around then and we really enjoyed that time there!
We needed a relaxing break and we definitely got that. Other than a couple of walks around the local town (walking distance) we didn’t do a huge amount else! I would definitely like to return to Corfu again to explore a little more next time!
