Koh Samui

My sister and I visited Koh Samui in November 2016. We flew via Phuket and arrived into one of the prettiest airports I have seen.

Our stay was at the Baan Samui Resort which is right in the centre of the hustle and bustle of Chaweng. However once through the entrance of the hotel everything was calm and serene. We were greeted with a welcome cold flannel and a lovely cocktail and shown to our room. The hotel is a small hotel with a beach restaurant and bar and buffet restaurant and large pool. It is situated right on the beach. The hotel staff are first rate, I cannot recommend them highly enough. I would definitely return.

Whilst in Koh Samui we went on a private tour of the island. Our guide and driver were so professional and went into great detail about everything we visited, and we visited so much – The Temple of the Big Buddha, the Grandmother and Grandfather Rocks, the Temple of Wat Kunaram to see the mummified monk and then on to the Na Muang Waterfall before lunch at a lovely restaurant on a deserted beach. The day was finished with a 2-hour session in a Spa – fabulous!

I would really recommend whilst in Thailand that people try a thai massage. We had a massage on the beach in Chaweng which was amazing and cost very little. You should also sample the fabulous thai food. There are so many restaurants in Chaweng to try, from fresh fish dishes (you can select your fish from the catch of the day) to amazing thai curries.

Koh Samui is a wonderful relaxing island, somewhere to just sit back and recharge those batteries, so get in touch with me for more information about this amazing destination.
