Cruising on Riverside Mozart
1. The fantastic service from the staff - there are 2 crew for every 4 guests!
We were met by many of the team members on arrival, was handed a glass of fizz and pointed up to the lounge for our welcome. Heading to our room, we were met by our lovely housekeeper and also had a welcome chat with our butler too, and given his WhatsApp so we can keep in touch with him throughout our stay. The service in the restaurant and in the lounge area was also great, we were never left waiting. The staff were attentively watching for when water / wine needed topping up too – I don’t think I saw my water below half full at any point in the night!
2. The beautiful suites!
Our suite was spacious and really comfy. We were on deck 2 which had a room with a Juliet balcony, which was absolutely lovely for bringing in the fresh air. I also got the chance to visit alternative room types, all of them were really beautiful with king size beds. The beds were so cosy and I felt like I was sleeping in a cloud.
3. The amazing food
Dinner was a plentiful affair, the food was delicious and you’re spoilt for choice. Breakfast was great with a wide range of food to enjoy, from your classic hot breakfast to crepes, waffles, fresh fruit and pastries and even freshly made smoothies and juices, fresh honeycomb and yoghurt pots! Dinner is a 5-course menu each night. We were lucky enough to get a tour of the kitchen too where we tried their healthy cookies and learnt all about how they shop local and always use as much local produce as possible on the ship.
4. The spa!
The spa was very welcome after our morning excursion in Krems as it is in such a relaxing space to be in. The jacuzzi is perfect for some quiet relaxation, but for those who want to do some exercise and swim they have a counter-current swimming pool. There's also a sauna and steam area too, as well as a good sized gym with modern equipment including free weights and mats. They also offer body treatments (perhaps enjoy a massage or reflexology), and there's a hairdressers on board too.
5. The incredible itinerary options
Riverside boats are on a variety of different rivers which means you can visit multiple places in Europe on their boats. The Mozart is only on the Danube as it's too wide to travel down any other rivers, but you can enjoy Riverside cruises on the Rhone, Rhine, Danube, Moselle, Main and Saone with lots of itineraries to choose from to suit you and different lengths of time too.
Overall, I had a brilliant time on Riverside and I can’t wait to visit again.
If this has inspired you to try a river cruise yourself, please don’t hesitate to contact me, I’d love to help you choose the right one for you so you can have as much fun as I did!
