Package holidays

The package holiday

What is a package holiday, really?

The phrase package holiday has developed a bit of an image problem.

It is often used to describe a cheap, off the shelf beach break booked online in 10 minutes flat, with very little thought beyond sun and availability. I know this because many of my clients start our first conversation by saying :“I don’t want a package holiday.” Here is the truth. You absolutely do.

A package holiday has nothing to do with how basic or luxurious your trip is. It simply means that every element of your journey is bundled together into one booking and sold as a financially protected package. Flights, accommodation, transfers, and often experiences, all combined into a single transaction rather than being booked separately with different providers. And that protection matters. Where things get interesting is how that package is created. I only design tailor made package holidays. Every detail is built around you. Your preferred departure dates, airlines, and travel class. Your choice of room category. Private transfers rather than shared shuttles. Experiences and excursions shaped around your interests rather than a generic schedule.

And let us talk about one of the travel industry’s best kept secrets, IT fares. They are privately negotiated airline fares available only when flights are booked as part of a package holiday, not as standalone tickets. Because they are bundled with accommodation and services, airlines release them at significantly reduced rates. For my clients, this often means better flight times, higher cabin classes, or long haul savings that simply are not visible online. It is one of the smartest ways to maximise value without compromising on quality.

Then there are the extras that make travel feel effortless. Personal service from start to finish. Special touches added along the way. 24 hour support while you are travelling. Exclusive rates. Digital documentation via the MyTC app. And full financial protection, all included without added cost. So no, this is not a copy and paste holiday. It is a carefully curated journey, designed exclusively for you by me, and backed by a global multi award winning travel brand you can trust. One more thing worth mentioning. I will not try to recruit you. Sadly, there are a few schemes around promising that anyone can become a travel agent overnight with no experience. These do not offer the expertise, protection, or security of an established travel brand, and many rely on recruitment rather than travel knowledge. If someone cannot tell their ATOL from their AWOL, proceed with caution. So yes, I will happily say it. Who wants a package holiday?
