Cruise and Maritime - Azores
I was invited to lunch on the Azores at Liverpool and I must say I was pleasantly surprised.
16,000 tons and only 550 guests.
Great service - friendly and very attentive. Guests are welcomed by a member of staff and escorted personally to your cabin.
The food was very good and the buffet restaurant looked inviting. The ship still had all you would expect : Casino, Show Lounge, Cinema, Night Club, Shops, Card Room, Library and Internet Café etc.
Cruise and Maritime are specialists in no-fly cruising with convenient sailings from a choice of eight UK ports including Bristol Avonmouth, Edinburgh Leith & Rosyth, Hull, Liverpool, London Tilbury, Newcastle Tyne and Dundee.
Smaller to medium sized ships - The Azores is the smallest in the fleet and has a 'country-house' feel. The other ships are more contemporary in design and décor.
Their programme offers a wide selection of scenic cruising including the Northern Lights, Fjords, Baltic, Iceland, Canaries and Round Britain. Further afield, is the Amazon and South America, West Indies, Panama Canal and Canada New England.
95% of guests rated their enjoyment either excellent of good and I can see why. For a medium rated ship the standard is well above average. I will be recommending Cruise and Maritime to customers looking for value in a traditional cruise.
