Halkidiki Highlights

Having recently returned from Sani Beach Resort in Halkidiki with my extended family, I can honestly say it is one of the best multigenerational family resorts we have experienced.

We travelled with my sister’s family, including children aged one and four, my own children who were five and eight at the time, plus the grandparents. Finding a holiday that genuinely works for three generations is not always easy, but Sani Resort managed to make everyone feel completely catered for.

Why Sani Resort Is So Good for Families

One of the things that immediately stood out to us was how much thought Sani has put into family holidays.

From fantastic children’s facilities and organised activities to dedicated baby services and kids’ clubs, everything felt designed to make family life easier. There was plenty for the children to enjoy, but just as importantly, there were opportunities for the adults and grandparents to relax too.

For families travelling with children of different ages, this makes such a difference. You can enjoy time together as a family while knowing the children are safe, entertained and well looked after.

Sani Beach: Perfect for Young Children

The beach at Sani is beautiful, with soft golden sand and wonderfully clear, shallow water. It was ideal for our younger children, who could paddle and play without us constantly worrying about deeper water.

We even had one very dramatic holiday moment when, while waiting to try the watersports, a tornado formed out at sea!

Thankfully, everything was fine, but it certainly gave us a holiday story to remember. Once the weather had passed, the children were straight back to discussing which watersports and activities they wanted to try next.

Amazing Kids’ Clubs and Family Activities

The children’s facilities at Sani Resort really are exceptional.

There are play areas, pools, organised activities and plenty to keep children entertained throughout the holiday. Having so much available meant the children were happy and busy, which allowed the adults to genuinely switch off and enjoy some much needed relaxation.

This is one of the biggest advantages of a family resort like Sani. You do not have to constantly organise entertainment yourself. There is already so much happening around you.

Sani Resort Entertainment: More Than a Kids’ Show

The evening entertainment was another highlight for our family.

We regularly enjoyed the shows at the amphitheatre, and they were far more professional than you might expect from a family resort. The quality was so good that at times it felt more like watching a West End performance than a typical hotel entertainment show.

The children were completely captivated, while the grandparents enjoyed them just as much.

It was lovely having something that genuinely brought all three generations together in the evening.

Sani Marina: Restaurants, Atmosphere and Evening Strolls

Another favourite part of Sani Resort for us was the marina.

The atmosphere is relaxed and stylish, with a wonderful selection of restaurants and places to enjoy an evening together. The hotel’s dine around concept also gave us the flexibility to choose different restaurants during our stay rather than feeling restricted to one resort restaurant.

Being able to wander around the marina, decide where we fancied eating and enjoy the atmosphere made it feel more like staying in a beautiful resort village than simply being at a hotel.

For a multigenerational family holiday, that variety is a real bonus.

A Special Family Evening at Sani Club

One evening we headed to Sani Club for dinner, and it became one of those moments that really stays with you.

The views were beautiful, looking out across the Aegean towards Sani Beach and the marina. Sitting there together as a family, enjoying the setting and watching the sun go down, felt incredibly special.

It was a lovely reminder that a family holiday does not have to be all about keeping the children entertained. Some of the best memories come from simply being together.

Why I Recommend Sani Resort for Multigenerational Holidays

What I think Sani does exceptionally well is combine a genuinely family friendly atmosphere with five star luxury.

It feels relaxed rather than formal, but still offers the quality, service and choice you would expect from a luxury Greek resort.

For our family, it worked brilliantly for everyone from a one year old through to the grandparents.

The children had activities, pools, beach time and entertainment. The adults had restaurants, beautiful surroundings and opportunities to relax. The grandparents had comfort, good food, lovely scenery and the chance to enjoy precious family time without the holiday feeling exhausting.

That balance is not always easy to achieve, but Sani gets it right.

If you are looking for a luxury family holiday in Greece, particularly a multigenerational holiday in Halkidiki, Sani Resort is somewhere I would confidently recommend.

It offers beautiful beaches, excellent family facilities, children’s clubs, activities, entertainment, restaurants and luxury accommodation, while still maintaining a relaxed Mediterranean feel.

I would return to Sani in a heartbeat, and having experienced it with three generations of our family, I can confidently say it is a resort I would recommend to families looking for the perfect combination of luxury, family friendly facilities, relaxation and quality time together.
