It's Nice To Meet You
Hello, and welcome. I’m Darren, your personal Travel Counsellor, and I’m based in Durham. This year I celebrate 38 years in the travel industry: from the humble beginnings of stamping brochures in a high street agency to now running my own travel business, designing holidays that truly matter to my clients.
Over the years I have not only worked in travel, I have lived it. I have lived and worked in both Perth and Brisbane in Australia, and spent time as a resort rep in Menorca, Corfu and Athens. That first-hand experience of destinations, airports, transfers, hotels and local life means I understand what really makes a holiday work once you are actually there.
I have always had a genuine passion for travel and have spent many years researching and booking our own trips: from fly-drives along the Californian coast and magical Christmases in New York, to weekends in Europe’s great cities and lazy beach escapes on the Greek islands.
For me, every holiday has one very important thing in common: how special it is to the people taking it. Whether it is a long-awaited family getaway, a once-in-a-lifetime adventure or a quick city break to recharge, it deserves to be treated with care. My guiding principle is simple: every trip I am trusted to arrange receives the same level of attention to detail, so that my customers are happy to return to me year after year.
