The new Queen on the seas
The new Queen brings Grace with a 21st Century twist.
Overview....
From the 1st sight on the Quayside Queen Anne's traditional lines and livery oozes the feel of the bygone years of Cruising with its wall of glass (of the balconies) bringing it into the 21st century. With fellow passengers saying how beautiful she looks or just oohing and gasping at the sleek silhouette of Cunard's new latest Queen. The chatter is all about what is she going to look like inside, everyone walking up the the switchback gangway with spring and urgency in their step.
Stepping across the threshold into the Art Deco interior , with it bright three - storey atrium, brings you back to a Golden Age of Liners. The sweeping curved staircase which take you up 3 decks with it mix of walnut handrail with glass and stainless-steel uprights and blue carpet (instead of the traditional Cunard's colour palette) brings it into the 21st century. The oohs and aahs continue as guest after guest steps into this grand lobby and take in the domed ceiling of woven lattice plaster, it gold finial radiating out like a sunburst. All this has a backdrop of an interactive Mural ( A Cunard Journey) where the image appears to change as you past it or climb the stairs.
Staterooms and Dining.
The Art Deco feel with a modern twist carries on in to the staterooms, with it London Hotel feel with bold colours like deep blues and golds still being Art Deco inspired. This comes away from the rest of the fleet that leans into the heavy dark woods and traditional grandeur. The reimagining carries on into the bright bathroom with a full walk-in glass shower offering plenty of room and Penhaligon luxury toiletries.
Tech-friendly too with USB ports and universal socks(UK, USA & European ) packed into the stateroom.
