Birthday onboard the Belmond Northern Belle

We wanted to surprise our mum with a birthday treat. Something special, a day that she would remember, and a day trip on The Belmond Northern Belle seemed the perfect option.

The Christmas themed six-hour train journey was wonderful from the moment we arrived at Leeds Station, greeted like royalty on the platform’s red carpet and on board the beautifully decorated carriages was no different, with first class service, champagne, cocktails and fine dining.

Taking a break from the beautiful English scenery, we were entertained by the fabulous table magician and the strolling band who sang Christmas songs, and a special Happy Birthday.

The atmosphere on board was magnificent, the other guests were a friendly mix of young and old, all dressed to impress. It was a truly luxury day trip and an amazing day.
