Paradise in Europe

01 May 2020

Can I tell you all about one of my favourite holiday resorts? I knew about Sani Resort and heard good things which made me think I had to go, I researched it a little bit more and Wow, it looked beautiful and very luxurious so I booked it. We visited Sani Beach hotel in August , let me tell you all about it. Sani Resort is a family owned ecological reserve that stretches over 1000 acres and combines golden beaches, the crystal clear waters of the Aegean sea. The weather was perfect, around 29-30 degrees every day with clear blue skies with a little breeze every so often which was great. Sani is located in Halkidiki in Greece, from London its a three hour flight to Thessaloniki airport and then around fifty minutes transfer to the resort. There are five hotels in the resort- Sani Beach, Sani, Dunes, Sani Asterias, Porto Sani and Sani Club. As i'm hotel obsessed I asked for a tour around all hotels and I must say, each hotel is very special in its own way, each hotel is unique. Personally I was happy that I chose Sani Beach, purely because it has lots going on for the kids. We stayed in a family room with a private garden, we loved this as the kids could play outside but it was also right next to the pool area and a few steps from the beach. Sani Resort offers the most amazing family activities, the best quality in my opinion. The younger kids are kept busy and entertained at the mini melissa kids club, my kids don't usually enjoy kids club but they did at Sani beach. The staff were really welcoming and re-assuring. There are different activities on throughout the day, the bikes are available to rent all day, the adventure park is great and very popular with the children. There is a baby pool with a mini splash park, my kids loved going there. Scuba diving and other water sports are available. Also there is a Chelsea football Academy, this gets booked up really quick so I would recommend you book these activities as early as possible. The hotel has their own app so you could possibly book activities on the app along with restaurants etc. Other activities include, bird watching tours and the Sani running challenge. The highlight of our week was the 'white party' at Bousoulas Beach Club, all families celebrate on a Wednesday evening, they have podium dancers and a saxophone player, its a really lovely atmosphere with great music. The dancers get the kids involved, they have them dancing along with them, its a fantastic evening for families. My only complaint regarding the food was that I never had enough time to eat in all of the twenty two restaurants, we had seven days so made the most of it. You are truly spoilt for choice. We were on a half board dining basis, which meant we could order from the Dinearound menu for a supplement and order from the a la carte menu. I enjoyed all restaurants but my favourite was the Beach house, a Mediterranean restaurant at Sani Dunes hotel. What I enjoyed most about the restaurant apart from the food obviously was the atmosphere and the view. Whilst eating and chatting you looked out to the sea and watched the sun setting with a live singer and the piano playing in the background. I would describe Sani resort as Dubai in Europe with lots more to offer for children, its by far one of my favourite holiday destinations, the staff were really friendly and the service was fantastic. Lastly if you feel you want some time to yourself you can visit the award winning spa which offers lots of treatments or take advantage of the adult only activities that are available every day.
