Being a Travel Counsellor has been my dream job for many years and I’ve had the privilege to be able to work in the Travel Industry for over 35 years. I remain passionate about what I do and take immense pride in serving my clients to the very best of my ability in order to meet their specific needs and wishes. Overall, I am committed to going the extra mile in order to create the perfect trip to suit their requirements. Getting to know my clients is really important to me, either by phone, Zoom or in person. This enables me to gain a deeper understanding of what is needed to put the perfect holiday together. I work very differently to the High Street and the online companies and am able to work with you at a mutually convenient time but largely at a time which suits you. I also specialise in tailor made itineraries and bespoke holidays. However, I must stress that no enquiry is too small.
Being a Travel Counsellor means that I work individually so you only get myself at the end of the phone or email. Being a Travel Counsellor allows me to work independently with many tour operators, and as we have a trusted and long-standing relationship with many ground handlers all over the world, I can put together those unforgettable holiday moments for you. A key part of my job is to enhance and suggest amazing and awesome moments that will stay in your memories for years to come. A few examples which I’ve worked on include arranging for clients to sit amongst 100,000 king penguins in South Georgia, to ‘live local’ on Lake Titicaca in Peru, to island hop in Indonesia or to go rafting on the Zambezi River in Zambia. I can arrange all of these experiences and so much more.
In addition to holiday experiences, I have also worked closely with groups and business travelers over many years. This is an important part of my service and I often work with bespoke needs for travel across a number of continents for both short and lengthy duration trips. I have worked through many of the challenging times which have impacted countries and the travel industry. This includes the impact of 9/11, the Ash Cloud, Tsunamis and of most recently COVID-19 and related Government travel policy decisions. None of us could have imagined the level of disruption on travel which we’ve encountered. I have been able to provide advice on changes to travel, respond to client needs and navigate through the range of often complicated policy restrictions. but being available for my clients allowed me to advise and rearrange around the restrictions in place, giving them the reassurance that they are not alone.
I look forward to arranging trips for this year and beyond. It is a pleasure and a privilege to do the job I do.
