Hello, I’m Gill, your local Travel Counsellor based in Appley Bridge, Wigan. I have always lived in and around the Appley Bridge, Shevington and Standish area and whilst I love my home, and being so close to my family and friends, I also love to travel – it’s my number one passion! That’s why being a Travel Counsellor is the perfect career for me.
I have worked in the travel industry for 27 years, 24 of which were spent in various roles for a large High Street agency. During that time I am proud to have been recognised nationally on many occasions as a top performing Travel Consultant.
I have been lucky to experience many memorable holidays and travel experiences including Cruises to various exciting and inspiring destinations around the world. I was awarded ‘Cruise Agent of the Year 2012’ by the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) and my love of cruising continues to grow, as does the wonderful world of cruising, with more ships, destinations and fabulous itineraries each year.
Some of my favourite places….
My honeymoon took me on my travels to the Far East, incorporating several amazing destinations, including Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Bali. I have enjoyed adventures to the Western Cape in South Africa – such a beautiful and diverse country. Other memorable holidays have taken me to the Middle East and India, various locations around the USA and Caribbean. Closer to home I have holidayed all over Europe and my favourites are Italy and the Greek Islands, where I love to experience the local life, cultures and let’s not forget the food!
I would love to be able to share my experiences and knowledge with you, to create your perfect travel experience.
