Arcadia is a lovely mid‑size, predominantly adult‑only ship, which gives her a more intimate, relaxed feel compared to some of the mega‑liners. A select few sailings do allow children on board from later this year, but overall she has a very calm, sophisticated atmosphere that really suits couples, friends and solo travellers who prefer a quieter style of cruising.

From the moment you step into the stylish public areas you get a real sense of space, with plenty of cosy corners to sit back with a drink and simply watch the world go by. Foodies will be pleased to see P&O favourites Sindhu and The Glass House on board too, perfect for a special evening or a relaxed glass of wine and small plates.

There are two beautiful pool areas, including one beneath a retractable roof, which is ideal for changeable weather. Whether the sun is shining or the clouds roll in, you can still enjoy a dip, a good book and a cocktail without worrying about the forecast.

One of the standout features for me was the stunning three‑tier Palladium theatre. It has a real sense of occasion, with a classic, almost West End feel, and is the perfect setting for evening entertainment.
