I enjoyed game drives with both Godfrey and his colleague Philip, who were always ready to explain animal behaviour, identify even the trickiest birds and share local stories and anecdotes that bring the landscape to life.

   Set aside a full day for the Ngare Ndare Forest. Enjoy the waterfalls, swim in the forest pools and challenge yourself on the canopy walkway. It is a magical experience, though not ideal for anyone with a serious fear of heights.
