I’ve always believed that travel is about making memories—about those little moments you cherish forever. This December, I embarked on a journey across India’s Golden Triangle, and I want to share a little of that magic with you.
Our adventure began at home in Cheshire, where a private transfer whisked us away to Terminal 3 at London Heathrow. Starting the trip this way set the perfect tone: no parking worries or heavy lifting, just excitement and anticipation. The Virgin Atlantic staff made everything so smooth, from the generous luggage allowance to online check-in, giving us peace of mind even before we stepped on the plane.
Arriving in Delhi and the Elegance of The Leela Ambience. After an overnight flight, we arrived in Delhi—sleepy but full of excitement. Next, we travelled to Agra, and my anticipation reached its peak as we checked in at the stunning ITC Mughal. Our room overlooked the lush gardens, and it felt like a gentle nod to the city’s regal heritage. Visiting the Taj Mahal early before the crowds was a dream come true—seeing its marble glow softly in the morning light is something I’ll never forget. Afterwards, we discovered hidden gems at Agra Fort and ended our day with a delicious Indian meal at the hotel.
From Agra, we headed to Ranthambore Regency—our base for an exhilarating safari adventure. Early morning game drives through Ranthambore National Park were a highlight; the thrill of searching for wild tigers and spotting peacocks and monkeys among ancient ruins was unforgettable. Each evening, we returned to the hotel to share stories by the pool and savour beautiful sunsets.
Jaipur captivated me instantly. Our stay at ITC Rajputana made us feel like royalty. The hotel’s vibrant colours and intricate courtyards reflected the spirit of the Pink City itself. We explored bustling markets, admired Amber Fort, and marvelled at the Palace of Winds. Every corner was an Instagram moment waiting to happen, and the hospitality at our hotel elevated the experience.
Before returning home, we spent a final night at The Leela Ambience in Delhi—one last chance to soak up India’s hospitality and cuisine. It was the perfect ending, time to relax, reflect, and appreciate everything we’d experienced.
