Here are my thoughts after my trip to Canada and the Rockies booked by Lucy Morgans.

4*Hotel in Banff:

It was really well situated, just a short walk into the town centre, with lots of shops, restaurants and bars.  The scenery around Banff is fantastic and there are some nice walks close by.

We did a couple of trips nearby, loved Lake Louise and Lake Moraine.  Again the views are stunning.

Then we moved onto the Rocky Mountaineer Train.  The 2 days going through the "Rockies" towards Vancouver were excellent, with again stunning views.  I would recommend the Gold service if you are going to do it.  I heard a couple of people moaning about the Silver service, as you must stay in your seats the whole time.  With the Gold coaches that Lucy sorted myself and my partner,on the  you have 2 levels, downstairs for dining and upstairs for viewing etc.  You get to meet and chat  with others in the same coach area whilst along the way.

Vancouver was a lively city and very clean. 

Lots to do there :

Walk around Stanley Park.

Would recommend getting the bus up to the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Also the Grouse Mountain Resort is good.

Granville Island is also well worth a visit.

We then had 7 days on an Alaskan cruise.  The scenery again is awesome.  The excursions offered are a good variety for all tastes and ages.  I would definitely recommend pre-buying the drinks package though.  

We found the drinks offered on this American cruise to be expensive. It was 2 glasses of wine at dinner were 11 dollars each, plus tax, plus 18% gratuity = 29 dollars ( £25.00 July 2025 )

Apart from that,  the ship was superb.  Lots going on during the day and evening.  Plus the entertainment was very good.

All in all.  A great trip Lucy.  Thank you loads!
