I’m Maria Thornley, your personal Travel Counsellor based in Leicestershire, and I am genuinely passionate about all things travel.

My family and I absolutely love Tenerife. Over the past 12 years we have visited many hotels and attractions across the island, so I know it really well and love sharing those first hand tips. I have also travelled to Dubai and to Doha in Qatar. Qatar in particular is very up and coming, and I would highly recommend both destinations, even if it is just for a stopover on a longer journey. I am also a big fan of European city breaks. Christmas markets are a favourite of mine, and Bruges and Prague are wonderful options for a festive escape.

A little about me: I have been travelling for over 20 years and in all that time I have only had one flight cancelled. Thanks to the support and “thinking outside the box” approach of Travel Counsellors, we only missed one night of our holiday. Experiencing that level of care first hand made a huge impression on me.
