India: A Journey That Stays With You
What can I say about my trip to India that truly does it justice? Incredible, memorable, thought provoking, fascinating… even all of these words together do not feel quite enough. It was a journey I will never forget. If India is somewhere you return to time and again, or a destination that has been sitting on your wish list, I would love to help you experience it properly. I can put together a bespoke itinerary that immerses you in the culture, colour and vibrancy of this wonderful country.
First Stop: New Delhi
My adventure began in the bustling capital, New Delhi. It is an exhilarating overload of the senses, in the very best way: a blur of colour, the constant buzz of traffic and conversation, and the scent of spice and street food in the air.
One of the most moving experiences was visiting Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, a beautiful Sikh temple where the community kitchen feeds thousands of people every day. Visitors from all walks of life sit side by side to share a meal, talk and connect. It was so warm and welcoming, and you really do feel part of the community.
We also visited Raj Ghat, a peaceful garden that marks the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. After the energy of the city, it is a place for quiet reflection and a moment to pause and take everything in.
A rickshaw ride through the streets of Old Delhi is an absolute must. With a local guide leading the way, you weave through narrow lanes and hidden corners, seeing the city from a completely different perspective. It is chaotic, fun and utterly unforgettabl

Jaipur: The Pink City
From Delhi, it was on to Jaipur, home of the magnificent Amber Fort, which stands proudly above the shimmering Maota Lake. We reached the fort by jeep, bumping our way up the hillside (hold on tight!), and were rewarded with panoramic views, ornate courtyards and beautifully preserved architecture.
Jaipur is affectionately known as the Pink City, with its rose-hued buildings glowing in the late afternoon light. A visit to the City Palace is highly recommended. Still home to the Jaipur royal family, it offers a fascinating insight into royal history and tradition.
Inside, look out for the Gangajali: two enormous silver urns that were used to carry water from the Ganges so that the Maharaja could drink only sacred water during his visit to England in 1902. It is a small detail, but one that really brings the stories of the past to life.
