We have just got back from an amazing 2 1/2 week road trip through California & we would like to say a huge thank you to Pete Whitehead from Travel Counsellors for arranging it & advising us on things to do ensuring we had the best time ever - driving along the beautiful Californian coastline & taking in the sites in San Diego, Palm Springs, LA/Hollywood, Pismo Beach, Monterey where we went whale watching & even cycling the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito in San Francisco before finally finishing off in New York! Pete is extremely passionate in what he does & gives nothing short of 100% overseeing every aspect of the holiday even down to the small touches like the welcome card we received from him when we arrived at our first hotel! We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending his services & will be looking to book our next adventure with him!

Travelling to and from and around Russia during the FIFA Soccer World Cup is very different from more familiar areas and I don't think Ive seen airports and hotels busier in my life. For the final - you made a challenging almost impossible trip on paper - a completely seamless experience. It was so reassuring and helpful to have you on hand providing advice throughout the journey which was very complicated by the lack of flights. I have known Pete for over a decade when I had my own company and he would find the shortest, fastest and cheapest way for me and my team to get from A to B. Since my retirement he has become a valuable part of my travel planning. It was Pete who introduced us to Emirates and as we now live in Monaco and Nice is one of their exit cities in Europe going through Dubai and then transferring to the Asia airports, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, etc. saves us many hours and the aggravation of London or Paris departures and is much more relaxing and civilized. Now that we are retired we have needed Pete more than ever before. We are travelling more and farther than ever before especially to Asia. On a recent trip to China, where Pete arranged all our travel, a flight from Chengdu to Lhasa was delayed 6 hours, took off circled Lhasa and then returned to Chengdu. Our trip was ruined since there were no available seats, First or Business, available for the next two days to Lhasa. Pete jumped into action, first, he got us refunds, which is not easy with Chinese airlines and second, he routed us back to Hong Kong where we were able to enjoy the rest of our trip. Without Pete’s involvement we probably would have spent a day or two stuck in Chengdu. Simply put we would not entrust our travel plans, simple or complicated, to anyone but Pete. His professionalism and cheery voice at the other end of the phone is very reassuring and if there is ever a problem it is ‘Pete to the rescue’ as demonstrated time and time again. I would give anyone who asks my unqualified endorsement of Pete, his work ethic and professionalism. You will not be disappointed .
