Information for US ESTA Travellers

Rachel Shayler on 28 Jan 2026

We have been advised that U.S. Customs and Border Protection are cancelling previously approved ESTA applications where the photo that is required as part of the application process is a picture of a traveller's passport photo.

Please ensure that the photo you provide as part of the application process is an up-to-date original photo, taken at the time of application. We strongly recommend all guests traveling on an ESTA to check the status of their ESTA prior to travel and reapply if it has been cancelled for any reason. Guests who are required to have an ESTA at embarkation of cruises that include travel to the U.S. will be denied boarding if the ESTA is not valid or has been cancelled. Please note this applies to guests travelling to the U.S. by air or land prior to your cruise as well.
