Husband’s 50th birthday UK road-trip
Suffolk fun with friends and family For the first 2 nights I hired a youth hostel in Suffolk to celebrate with friends and family. It was great fun! And I even manged to organise a p**s up in a brewery!
Northampton rest and relaxation We headed off from Suffolk to Northampton. We stayed in a lovely hotel with a spa and indulged in well-earned rest and relaxation. We had a lovely dinner and slept well in a four-poster bed.
Cotswolds charm From here we set off for the Cotswolds and stayed in a small town called Burford. We stayed in a cottage and enjoyed a pub crawl, walks and great food. Burford was a fantastic location as the gateway to the Cotswold. Close to great walks with pubs and a short drive to beautiful towns to explore.
Splendid Surrey The final night of our road-trip was back towards home staying and eating at Jose Pizarro’s pub in Esher. On the way here we popped to Guildford to admire the architecture. Food at Jose’s was amazing – a simple tapas menu but very tasty treats! After a lovely breakfast we headed home visiting RHS Wisley on the way for gardening inspiration.
