I was fortunate enough to be invited on a Domes Mega Fam trip to Domes Lake Algarve, and I truly loved every moment! From the stunning lake to unforgettable experiences. I’m excited to share some of the key features and personal highlights of my stay. One of the first things that impressed me at Domes Lake Algarve was its fantastic water facilities. Whether you’re here to relax or play, there’s something for everyone. The family-friendly pools are perfect for kids to splash around, while the adults-only pool provides a tranquil retreat for those seeking peace and quiet. My favourite pool was the unique natural sand bottom pool-perfect for families with little ones. But what truly sets this resort apart is the breathtaking lake that surrounds the property. Not only is it beautiful, but it also offers a variety of water sports, making it a playground for adventure enthusiasts. Speaking of adventure, there’s no shortage of family-friendly activities to enjoy. The resort’s well-designed kids’ club keeps younger guests entertained with fun and educational activities, while the sports courts and playground provide endless opportunities for family bonding. Whether it's trying out water sports on the lake or playing a game of table tennis, there's no lack of ways to stay active and enjoy family time. Now lets talk gastronomy, as a foodie at heart , one of my favourite parts of the stay was the gastronomic experiences. Every meal was delicious and every restaurant unique, from family-style dishes to more intimate meals by the water’s edge. I loved the Cataplana cooking class, where I learned how to prepare the traditional Portuguese dish. It was both educational and delicious! The resort’s commitment to variety means no two meals were ever the same, and each dining experience is a new delight. What truly sets Domes Lake Algarve apart are the signature experiences it offers. Many of these experiences are included in your stay, though some come with a small fee—but I can assure you they are absolutely worth it. I was lucky enough to participate in the Cataplana cooking class, as well as a wine-tasting session that showcased the best local selections. However, my personal highlight was the mixology class. It was not only informative but also incredibly fun, allowing me to master a few new cocktail recipes. For those looking for more action, the lake offers an array of water sports such as kayaking and paddle boarding. Each experience is thoughtfully designed to create lasting memories for guests. After a day of adventure and activities, there’s nothing better than unwinding at the resort’s luxurious spa. With a wide range of treatments to choose from, it’s easy to spend a whole afternoon indulging in some much-needed relaxation. The tranquil atmosphere and professional service make this a must-visit during your stay. For fitness enthusiasts, there’s a 24-hour gym with everything you need to stay on track while away from home. The outdoor gym area, with its views overlooking the stunning lake, is the perfect place to squeeze in a workout while soaking in the serene surroundings. Final Thoughts Overall, my stay at Domes Lake Algarve was nothing short of amazing. From the diverse water activities and family-friendly amenities to the exceptional dining and signature experiences, it’s clear that Domes Lake Algarve is a unique resort and is designed with every guest in mind. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or a mix of both, this destination offers something for everyone. I can't wait to return with my family.

It not only offers stunning views over the island and the sea but also provides a perfect spot for those picture-perfect moments. Whether you’re lounging by the pool or taking a refreshing dip, the combination of luxury and views makes it a must-visit during your stay. Whether you're in the mood for lounging, swimming, or simply enjoying a peaceful sunset, the beach is right at your doorstep. Family-Friendly with an Amazing Kids Club ME Ibiza isn't just a luxury destination for couples or solo travellers—it’s also incredibly family-friendly. The hotel offers a fantastic kids club for children aged 3 and up, and even parents with little ones under 3 are welcome to join in the fun. It’s the perfect solution for parents looking to enjoy a little "me-time" while their kids are entertained with fun and creative activities. The kids club was a real highlight for families, offering peace of mind and plenty of opportunities for little ones to make new friends. I’ve recently had the pleasure of visiting gorgeous Halkidiki with Acrotel. I was excited for this trip as I’ve experienced many of the islands but this was my first time to Halkidiki, it really did open my eyes to what a beautiful destination it is an how much it has to offer. Day 1 A beautiful welcome from Acrotel, staying in the Athena Residence you will have your own reception area and VIP check in. Checking in to my maisonette I was not disappointed, they're a perfect mixture of luxury and traditional Greek charm. The maisonettes are perfect for families -with a double bed and separate lounge downstairs and a twin room upstairs, best of all you have your own beautiful terrace with direct access to the pool that is exclusive for guests staying in the residence. Lunch at Lemoni on the first day really did wow in every way, not only the beautiful setting but the amazing selection of food and wine and all at fantastic prices, for example a huge meat or seafood platter that easily feeds a family is only approx. 34EUR, not only amazing prices but really great tasting food and fantastic service to match. Another highlight of the first day was sitting outside in the evening listening to live music with a great choice of drinks and an amazing cocktail menu, the evening atmosphere was totally spot on, I looked around at all of the guests all I could see was smiles and laughter all round. Day 2 I want to talk about some of the gorgeous Acrotel properties we visited on day 2, firstly the gorgeous Athena Villa, this is perfect for those who want a quiet getaway or for a larger group-it’s four separate accommodations with the option to take on all four to accommodate up to 18 people, surrounded by beautiful gardens with direct access to private beach, a great pool, BBQ area and even the option to get a private butler service. Next up was Elea beach, a perfect spot for beach lovers and those who prefer the option of all inclusive. Appox 10 km to both Nikiti and and Neos Marmaras where you'll find lot's of bars shops and restaurants. The biggest surprise for me was Lily Ann Boutique, this is a gorgeous 3 star property that really blew me away, so many of us are guilty of writing off hotels for not having enough stars but sometimes you come across a true hidden gem that has that offers an amazing setting with excellent service to compliment the beautiful atmosphere, I would really recommend this property. Day 3 I’m such a foodie on holiday and I always especially look forward to dining experiences in Greece, the food was amazing every day of our trip but day three was particularly special with the day starting off with a fabulous Greek cooking lesson and live demonstrations of how to cook various Greek dishes. We then went on to find the most perfect beach front spot for lunch serving all your traditional Greek cuisine with amazing views from every angle, once again service really did stand out. I’d visit this restaurant over and over again and would recommend it to anyone. Dinner was another Greek feast (no it never gets boring) this time at the gorgeous Greek themed Dionysos restaurant at Athena Pallas, as well as enjoying amazing food you can also dress up and learn about the history of ancients Greeks. Day 4 Is any holiday to Greece complete without a boat trip? A gorgeous day at sea with stunning scenery, crystal clear waters, swim stops and a gorgeous BBQ lunch and free flowing drinks. This was amazing value at approx. 30EURpp Overview Acrotel offer something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a villa, hotel or beautiful boutique properties. Perfect for foodies who love unique dining experiences. Above all the service throughout all of the properties is really personal and stand out, every member of staff will make you feel like a friend.

I was really lucky to be taken on a fam trip with the fabulous Palladium resorts. Although I've booked lots of Dominican Republic holidays for my clients I had never actually been myself and with it becoming an increasingly popular destination, I was really looking forward to go and see what it was all about and excited to be spending time at some gorgeous resorts. It was a busy seven days so I thought the best way to share it with you all would be with a day by day blog. DAY 1 It was a pleasant but chilly BA flight. For anyone travelling UK winter time I would recommend layering up so you can keep warm on the flight then loose some layers when you get off the plane and step into the Caribbean heat. It was a 10 minute coach journey to our first hotel- the gorgeous adult-only TRS Cap Cana where we were greeted with a lovely welcome drink and a quick and easy check in. I was wowed from the moment I stepped in and was instantly excited to spend the next couple of days exploring the resort. My suite was gorgeous and spacious with lots of nice in room touches and butler service for the duration. I absolutely loved my huge balcony with an amazing view of the sea and resort. DAY 2 We woke up to a storm but in true Caribbean style the clouds soon parted, the rain disappeared and the sun was out. We started the morning with a beautiful breakfast setting with buffet breakfast or a la carte (or both) and a live violinist to set the atmosphere. After viewing some suites, a lovely coffee shop, the gorgeous spa and the all-important bar we then took a taxi down to the local beach, before heading back for lunch which was an al fresco four course Italian seafood feast with a gorgeous view. Following lunch was pool/beach time with the option to relax on a sun lounger or Bali bed or we could opt into activities such as aerobics or a water spin class. I decided on a fun gin cocktail making class. Dinner was at El Gaucho, a lovely setting with a menu that included so many of my favourites. I went for the lobster accompanied with some delicious white wine. I was so impressed with our first dinner and it was the perfect end to our first full day. DAY 3 It was time to say farewell to TRS Cap Cana to head to Santa Domingo. Who knew Dominican had such a gorgeous and interesting city. We spent a few hours with the Dominican tourist board in the colonial city, we were taken to some of the historical city sites then to a 4D cinema recreation of the battle of Santa Domingo. We then spent some time wandering the cobbled streets and mingling with the locals before heading to Jalao-one the local restaurants for a Dominican feast. We stayed at Dominican Fiesta hotel and casino-perfect place to stop for a couple of nights to explore the city. DAY 4 After a delicious poolside breakfast at Fiesta Domingo we left to check into our final hotel, the gorgeous Grand Palladium Palace. Upon arrival we had an all singing and dancing welcome that instantly made us feel at home and exited for the rest of the trip. After check in was some time by the pool to enjoy cocktails and a bit of sunbathing and some free time to explore the resort. Dinner was at Sumpturi, a fun Teppanyaki restaurant with live cooking shows and mouth-watering Japanese cuisine. After dinner some of us headed for the Sunset Boulevard night club before heading to bed. DAY 5 We spent some time getting to know the pools, bars, rooms and restaurants at -Grand Palladium Palace -Grand Palladium Bavaro -Grand Palladium Punta -TRS Terquesa After a busy day doing a fun, crazy treasure hunt I had the most amazing and much needed massage and spa circuit at Zentropia. There are so many treatments to choose from and then you can chill out at the spas pool and jacuzzi. The evening was a dinner and a show at Chic Cabaret, fabulous atmosphere and the food was fab- I enjoyed all seven courses. As for the acts, they we’re just spectacular. This is an absolute must do and I can’t recommend it enough! DAY 6 A trip over to Catalina Island by Speedboat. We arrived to gorgeous white sand beach, with friendly locals and a picture perfect setting. Lunch was buffet style and included fresh lobster and wine. Once we got back it was time for yet more food and drink. We started the evening with pre dinner cocktails with a lovely setting at Bar Hemingway before heading for dinner at Bhogali, the Indian restaurant with a great atmosphere and fine culinary experience. Following dinner we ended the night at the secret pool for a dip and a night cap. DAY 7 A lovely chilled out days, relaxing by the pool and working my way through the cocktails list (all in the name of research of course). Dinner was Tapas and wine tasting at First wine, another great and unique dining experience with fabulous service throughout. We were served lots of tapas style dishes accompanied with the best wines. The evening was just wow! A fabulous evening of drinks, top notch entertainment and a non-stop party at Coco Bongo Punta Cana. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It was the perfect way to end a perfect trip. TRS CAP CANA- I would recommend this hotel for adults that are celebrating a special occasion or who would just like to treat themselves to a pure luxury holiday with unbeatable service and experiences DOINICAN FIESTA- I would recommend this hotel for those who would like a base to explore the city, this is perfect to twin centre with a beach stay. GRAND PALLADIUM PALACE- I would recommend to couples, groups and families. There is a great range of entertainment and activities and something for everyone Perfect for foodies who love fine dining experiences.

Atlantis is a gorgeous hotel located on Palm Jumeirah, its quite a special moment when you arrive at the iconic property. The lobby was huge and full of atmosphere, the staff gave us a warm and friendly greeting right away. We booked imperial club which was fantastic value for money and includes lots of little extras that made a big difference to our stay including complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks in the club lounge. We checked into our gorgeous room that was spacious, modern and had an amazing view of the Palm. As soon as we had unpacked the kids wanted to head straight for the water park which is complimentary for guests staying at the hotel, with water slides, river slides, shark safari and stingray feeds, there is plenty to do for all of the family and it's great to have this all part of the package. You also have access to Dolphin Bay and Sea Lion point where you can have both Dolphin and Sea Lion encounters, some of these activities are at an extra charge. One of the highlights for me was the amazing lost chambers aquarium, a huge aquarium that's home to 65,000 marine animals. It’s like no other aquarium I've ever been to before, you have to see it believe it. Food is always an important part of the holiday for me so I wasn't disappointed with huge range of dining options on offer to please both the adults and children. We dined at the Sea Fire steak house and bar, the edge (Italian) the kids loved the burger joint and the buffet at Saffron. For those with a sweet tooth the dessert area is amazing and features any kind of dessert you can think of including a delicious chocolate fountain. Restaurants do get busy so it’s a good idea to pre-book these. During my stay one of the lovely members of staff took me around to view some of the different room types and I discovered there is such a huge range of rooms on offer for all party sizes and something for any occasion including huge suites that you can even hire for a private party. What I found so great about Atlantis is that you can make it whatever type of holiday you desire, I saw honeymoon couples who had a relaxing break and enjoyed things like the gorgeous spa and the adults only beach clubs and then there were families with children of all different ages enjoying the pools, kids clubs, water park and aquarium so I really would recommend it to everyone. There is so much to do without even leaving your hotel. Our stay was on a stopover on the way to Bali. If you’re travelling for a long haul holiday, it’s worth considering a stop over to break up your journey and enhance your holiday experience. I could talk about this property all day long so if you’re thinking of visiting please feel free to get in touch!

This year I vowed to see more of the UK. I'm always spending so much time researching places to go abroad but we have so many beautiful places to see here in the UK, so I was really excited when we booked our family staycation in Cornwall. My hubby and the kids were really keen to try surfing, so we decided to stay in Newquay – surfer’s paradise. I booked a lovely central apartment called The Snug. We were greeted with a welcome pack that included a bottle of bubbly and some lovely Cornish fudge. The apartment itself was large, modern and clean but best of all it was a great location close to the marina, shops, restaurants and plenty of beaches. Being one of the UK hotspots for surfing we headed straight for Fistral Beach. I would love to say that I cracked the art of surfing but really the kids and I just stuck to boogie boarding whist hubby gave the surfing a go. Fistral ticked all boxes as there are plenty of shops and places to eat, we had fish and chips from the famous Rick Stein restaurant. As a keen golfer my husband was also impressed with the golf course overlooking the beach, perfect for anyone who enjoys great views whilst enjoying a round. Another great beach we visited, which was my personal favourite, was Lusty Gaze, a gorgeous secluded cove with towering cliffs, white sand, surfing and gorgeous sunsets. It's such a beautiful spot that we even saw a wedding take place during our visit. As first timers we didn't have our own equipment and were really impressed at how reasonable it was to hire the equipment, at most beaches it was around £15 for both board and wetsuit. One of the great things about Cornwall is there’s something for everyone and it caters for all ages. Some of the activities we enjoyed were rock pooling and crabbing on the marina whilst looking out for its two resident seals. We also took a road train around Newquay that took us to beaches as well as the gorgeous Trenance gardens and lake, where we experienced a traditional Cornish cream tea. We ate at some lovely restaurants, one of our favourites was Captain Jacks, a pirate themed restaurant serving the best local fresh food with great wines and cocktails. The service here was second to none and we found it really great value for money. I would highly recommend this restaurant during your stay in Newquay. We loved our mini break to and have already arranged to go back but for longer next time. I would recommend to groups, couples and families. There really is is something for everyone!

What a 48 hours we had in Monte Carlo. With a grand casino, luxury shopping, a glamorous marina filled with yachts and supercars at every corner this place certainly has wow factor! We stayed at the Fairmont hotel in a superior room with a view of the famous hairpin on the formula one racetrack. The hotel was a perfect location within walking distance to the marina, Monte Carlo casino and plenty of shops and nightlife. The first day we arrived we headed straight down to the marina for a coffee with a spectacular view. We then headed back to the roof top of our hotel, home to the famous Nikki Beach club. We spent a few hours here, relaxing, listening to music and enjoying the great selection of food and drink on offer. The atmosphere was buzzing and if we had more time, we would have stayed for the evening and enjoyed sunset cocktails and a dance to the live music. Our next stop was still within our hotel and being a massive foodie, it was definitely one of the highlights for me. We arrived at NOBU around 6pm (just in time for happy hour). We were seated on the gorgeous terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The cuisine was a mix of Japanese and South American, I opted for a mouth-watering seafood dish for my main and a gorgeous chocolate box dessert which was honestly one of the nicest things I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The next highlight of our trip was the famous Monte Carlo casino, just a seventeen-euro entrance fee which included your first drink-great value we thought! The casino itself is just as grand as it looks in the Bond movies. We of course had a flutter but unfortunately no big wins for us on the day. After such a busy first day, the second day was a bit more laid back and we spent the morning enjoying our hotel and, in the afternoon, we took a stroll around to take it all in. We visited some of the luxury boutiques, for those who like shopping Monte Carlo has it all! Monte Carlo is like nowhere else I've ever been, and I would highly recommend it for couples and groups. It's a great place for a short break and I would also recommend tying it in with other areas on the French Riviera eg. Nice, Cannes, St Tropez Get in touch to arrange your trip.

In all the years that I’ve been working in travel, Mexico has been one of the destinations that I have sold the most, particularly the Caribbean coast, so I thought it was about time I went to see it of myself. We stayed at two hotels. For the first part of our trip we were based at Dreams Riviera Cancun and we stayed in a deluxe room with plunge pool, the room was a big hit with the kids, and they were in the plunge pool morning, noon and night. It was handy for us adults too as the kids could carry on playing whilst we were getting ready for the evening. Speaking of pools there were three others at the hotel including a huge infinity pool overlooking the beach. The atmosphere round the hotel was great both day and night, during the day there was music and activities round by the pool area. In the evening there were fire shows, cabaret and interactive entertainment. One of the best things at the hotel was the dining. As well as the buffet restaurant there were also six a la carte, a grill and a café. All the restaurants were modern and unique with plenty of choice on the menus. Our personal favourite was Himitsu which served pan-Asian cuisine where you can sit with the chef who cooks for you on the teppanyaki table. The second hotel was Dream Playa Mujeres which is the flagship Dreams hotel in Mexico. As soon as I walked in, I was wowed by the impressive lobby and the welcoming staff. The rooms here were clean, spacious and fresh and we had a lovely view of the ocean. There was a selection of pools, water slides and a lazy river (for preferred club guests). The beach was so clean and well-kept with gorgeous clear water and fine white sand. There was entertainment including live singers and bands throughout the day. The kids club was excellent with so much for the kids to do and so much variety for every age range. Again, being part of the dreams collection there are plenty of dining options including fine dining at the a la carte restaurants as well as a café, grill and ice cream parlour. There is also a choice of 13 bars and lounges. During our stay we had lots of day trips and excursions. First was a family fun day out to Xplor. Here we drove amphibious buggies through the Mayan jungles, flew through the sky on a zip line, walked through caves and swam through underground rivers. We then went on to Xcaret which celebrates all things Mexican. There are is live music, Mexican shows and hundreds of activities going on throughout the day. We did some underground swimming, visited the Mayan village and archaeological sites, went through a paradise river on a raft and saw plenty of animals and creatures on our way round. Both parks included a lunch and drinks and had changing rooms and lockers so you could get changed, leave your belongings in a safe place and enjoy your day. Another trip that we enjoyed and would highly recommend was a catamaran trip over to Isla Mujeres. There was a fantastic atmosphere with an open bar at sea serving rum, vodka, beer and soft drinks. Once we arrived, we hired a buggy to explore the island and had lots of photo opportunities with great views at every turn. After this we stopped at a beach club for a local BBQ lunch. There was then the option for free time to shop, explore and relax on the beach. On the way back there was the opportunity to swim and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters…a perfect way to end a perfect day. The last of our trips was one of our favourites, a trip to the Yucatan Peninsula to visit the famous Chichen-Itza. This was a fascinating day and we had a fantastic tour guide who educated us on the Mayan history and culture. Considering it is one of Mexico’s most visited sites it didn’t feel crowded at all and there were plenty of opportunities to get up close and take photos. Unfortunately, you can no longer climb to the top, but we still thoroughly enjoyed the trip. As part of our excursion we had traditional lunch and Mayan entertainment in one of the local hotels. This was followed by a trip to cenotes, a natural swimming hole that has fresh water so clear that you can see straight through to the small fish below, this was just what we needed after a hot day of walking around the sites. I would highly recommend taking this trip. Although we squeezed a lot into our trip, there is still so much that we didn’t see. You can make a trip to Mexico as relaxed or as action packed as you like, there really is something for everyone. I would recommend for families, couples and groups.

We were excited to be visiting Hard Rock, from the moment we stepped off the plane at Tenerife South there were signs for the hotel everywhere. Once we arrived, we weren’t disappointed. We were greeted on arrival and our cases were taken straight away and we were seated whilst we waited to check in. The lobby was stylish with a buzzing atmosphere, as to be expected when staying at Hard Rock hotel. We stayed in a Deluxe Platinum Suite, which was modern and spacious with a luxurious bathroom, huge king size bed and spectacular views of the ocean. The pool scene was great, we spent most of our time at the family pool where there was a swim up bar, in pool loungers and a DJ set. There is also an adult only pool that has a much more laid-back vibe and then there’s the pool downstairs at the beach club. There was live music throughout the day that was anything from a DJ, guitarist or live band. All the pools offer comfy sun loungers and day beds, best of all you don’t have to wake up at the crack of dawn for these. There is a range of dining options from pool side snacks, buffet to a la carte, we ate at Sessions, buffet, 3rd Half, a sports bar and restaurant (so my hubby and son didn’t miss out on the footie whilst we were away) and my personal favourite, the Tapas restaurant Ali Ole. The roof top bar is a must, it was chilly the few nights that I was there, so I was offered a blanket whilst I enjoyed the cocktails and live music. The location is around a 10-minute taxi ride from Costa Adeje. There are a few shops nearby but if you want to go out for dinner or for a bit of shopping then a taxi ride into town would be the best bet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hard Rock, and I would recommend this hotel to couples, families and groups. Approx. 35 minutes from Tenerife South airport Approx. 10 minute to Costa Adeje blue flag beach 13km to Sian Park 40km to Teide National Park

As we walked through the markets the Christmas smells instantly hit us, the atmosphere was buzzing and we were immediately in the Christmas spirit. We were both feeling hungry when we arrived which was a good thing. There was so much on offer, from German sausage to waffles, locally produced cheese to Christmas chocolates and we tried it all. For me the best thing was the mulled wine, there’s nothing better to get you in the Christmas mood. We stayed at Hotel Indigo, which was a perfect location for the Christmas markets at Alexander Platz which included small fairground rides, a Ferris wheel and vendors selling arts and crafts such as pottery and Christmas baubles. We walked around the stalls stopping at each for a look, a quick bite or a tipple. We took a ride on the Ferris and enjoyed the view of the market from high up, this was a great opportunity for pictures and videos. The next market we visited was Winterwelt am Potsdamer Platz, this was another great location and easy for us to get to using public transport. The highlight here was the Toboggan run, we screamed all the way down! Our last stop before heading to the airport from our flight home was Breitscheidplatz, this was my personal favourite. The smells of roasted almonds, the sounds of Christmas classics and beautifully decorated stalls, it was very traditional and everything you would imagine a Christmas market to be. I loved my time in Berlin and I’m looking forward to visiting more Christmas markets in the future.

There’s nothing quite like that feeling you get as you’re flying in to McCarren International Airport and you can see the tall impressive buildings with all the bright and dazzling lights. We stayed at the Encore - the Wynn’s sister hotel. From the moment we stepped in, we were wowed by the swanky décor and the contemporary feel with a cosmopolitan bar, great pool areas, five signature restaurants and exclusive shopping boutiques. Most impressive of all was our panoramic view suite with floor to ceiling windows and the most unbelievable views of the famous iconic strip. The Wynn and Encore aren’t as central as some of the other hotels and we jumped in a taxi most days but we found the taxis so easy and very reasonable, it didn’t bother us at all that we wasn’t right in the thick of all of the action. We felt like we had the best of both worlds. We spent lots of time walking up and down the strip visiting the different hotels, each with something different to offer from the gondolas at the Venetian to the fountains at the Bellagio. Each one we would stop in for a quick drink and go on the slot s- when in Vegas and all of that! We went to the Stratosphere which was a bit further out but only a short taxi ride away. It was here we experienced Vegas’ three most adrenaline pumping rides. First Insanity - a huge mechanic arm that extends 64 feet over the Stratosphere tower, then Big Shot which threw us 160 feet in the air and lastly (and most thrilling) was X-scream which propelled us head first over the edge and dangled us weightless over the Las Vegas strip. We also spent some time in Downtown Vegas which had a different feel to the strip but was just as fun. Here we enjoyed Slotzilla, the zip line where you can zoom down Fremont Street in two different ways - of course we went down “super hero style”. The biggest highlight of our trip was our helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon. We enjoyed the panoramic views of Hoover Dam and Lake Mead before stopping for a glass of fizz and a picnic in the Canyon. I would recommend this as an add on to any trip to Vegas.

We travelled to Bali for our family-moon in August. We couldn’t decide on where to stay as we wanted a really nice beach but also wanted to experience the culture of true Bali, so we decided to combine the two. We had seven nights staying at Melia Bali, a great option for families, we stayed in a premium swim up room which of course the kids were delighted with, although we ended up spending most of our time at the huge lagoon style pool or on the beachfront. The hotel had plenty of actives throughout the day for adults, the kids and a nice selection of thing for the whole family to do together which we personally enjoyed. This varied from games, to movie nights, cooking lessons to marshmallow toasting and a whole lot more. As our time in Nusa Dua was mostly about sun, sea and sand we had lots of beachfront meals and enjoyed the Balinese cuisine. We were so impressed with the prices of eating out, most evening we would spend around £30-£50 for the four of us and would have at least two courses each plus wine and soft drinks. Speaking of dining one of our highlights of our holiday was a Balinese family cooking school. We were picked up in the morning by a local guide who took us to the market to show us how the locals shop and to pick up the ingredients that we would need for lunch. We then went and met the hosts in their own home which was going to be our cooking school for the day. They were knowledgeable, interactive and fun. My children who are both fussy eaters had so much fun and even enjoyed sampling all the food. This is such a good enhancement to a holiday experience, and I would highly recommend doing this not just in Bali but anywhere that there is the opportunity to spend time with the locals and experience their cuisine. From Nusa Dua we also enjoyed a boat trip to Nusa Lembongan where we enjoyed a fun day of snorkelling, sunbathing and water sports. We spent another day at the turtle sanctuary where you adopt a turtle and release them into the ocean - a very special experience and the money is donated to keeping the sanctuary open where they rescue hundreds of turtles each year. After our week in Nusa Dua we were off to Ubud and the difference was incredible. Ubud was more of a true Bali experience and during our time here we had a private guide who would meet us each day. As well as sharing his knowledge with us he took us to visit different Hindu temples, rice paddies and beautiful waterfalls. Of course, there was some fun for the kids too, they (we) had an adrenaline rush on the 12 swings at Bali Swing, a day out that we all enjoyed. If you’re going to do this then bring your camera as you will get many Intsta-worthy snaps. After Bali Swing, we visited the monkeys in their natural habitat at the Monkey Forest. Having the guide with us really changed the whole holiday experience. He showed us things we probably never would have found on our own and also educated us as a family. In Ubud we stayed at Bisma Eight, a luxury boutique hotel set within the natural and cultural heart of Ubud. We found this the perfect place to unwind after our busy days exploring Ubud, here they also offered activities such as cooking lessons and cocktail/mocktail masterclasses, but the highlight here was definitely the infinity pool looking over the forest.
