And no visit to Tokyo would be complete without a trip to the happiest place on earth – Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, offering enchanting escapes into the realms of fantasy and adventure, captivating visitors with their immersive worlds and iconic attractions. Tokyo Disneyland, inspired by its counterparts in the United States, brings beloved Disney characters to life against the backdrop of enchanting lands, thrilling rides, and dazzling parades. From the enchanting Cinderella Castle to the whimsical rides of Fantasyland, Tokyo Disneyland delights guests of all ages with its magic and charm. It’s time to board the train, and head for Hakone National Park. With a hop, skip and a shinkansen you will be there in no time at all.
Hakone: Soak in Serenity and Scenery. Escape the urban hustle and bustle as we journey to Hakone, a picturesque town nestled in the shadow of Mount Fuji. Known for its hot springs and stunning views of the iconic volcano, Hakone offers a serene retreat from the chaos of city life. A short train ride (2hrs or less) from Tokyo puts you in an entirely different backdrop.
Hakone National Park passes offer visitors a convenient and cost-effective way to explore the stunning natural beauty and cultural attractions of this picturesque region. With various options available, including the Hakone Free Pass and Hakone Kamakura Pass, travellers can enjoy unlimited access to a range of transportation modes within the park. My clients all took the Free Pass option, which got them access to everything, from the iconic Hakone Ropeway, which offers breathtaking aerial views of Mount Fuji and Lake Ashi, to the scenic Hakone Sightseeing Cruise, which traverses the tranquil waters of Lake Ashi aboard traditional pirate ships. There are plenty of ways to soak in the park's majestic landscapes. Additionally, the Hakone Tozan Railway, Japan's oldest mountain railway, winds its way through lush forests and cascading waterfalls, providing a memorable journey to iconic destinations such as Gora and Owakudani. Whether by cable car, boat, bicycle or train, Hakone National Park passes ensure seamless travel and unforgettable experiences amidst the splendour of nature.
