North Devon Break

We recently had a short break in North Devon, what a lovely area, with some beautiful beaches and countryside.

We based our stay at the Mole Resort, which was near Umberleigh in a really stunning Two Bedroom Lodge with Hot Tub. The Mole Resort is set high on a hill with far reaching views across the Devon Countryside. The access road, like most in Devon & Cornwall, is mainly single track, but once you get used to it, the result of staying in such a lovely resort, is truly worth it.

This resort is very upmarlet but very relaxed, with lots of on site facilities and activities including tennis, golf, indoor and outdoor pools, shooting, archery to name a few. It is the perfect resort as either a base for exploring the North Devon Coast, as we did, or if you are looking for a combination of relaxtion and things to do. There is an on site bar & restaurant and a little shop, with all the essentials you will need. A couple of nice eating pubs nearby, but I would recommend you book, as they do get very busy.

Our Lodge, Meadow Two Bed, was very contemporary with a large full fitted kitchen, living/dining area, with sliding doors to a decking area with table/chairs and a hot tub. Upstairs, there are two very good sized bedrooms, one King Size Double and the other a twin, with two luxury bathrooms with Ritual Toiletries.

They also had lodges that are pet friendly and many guests had dogs, with lots of nice walks nearby.

We visited Woolacombe, Bideford, Appledore, Croyde, Saunton, Ilfracombe and Combe Martin on our trip, which all had something different to offer.

We would definitley recommend this part of the UK and Mole Resort. Get in touch for more information or if you are interested in a stay at the Mole Resort and North Devon.
