Zanzibar Tanzania
Tanzania
Zanzibar has been on my wish list for so long, and I am finally making it happen. Think powder‑soft white sands, warm turquoise waters and swaying palms, combined with the spice‑scented streets and winding alleys of historic Stone Town. It is the perfect blend of laid‑back beach time and rich culture, with sunset dhow cruises, barefoot beach bars and incredible marine life all waiting to be explored. This trip was all about switching off, slowing down and soaking up that dreamy Indian Ocean vibe.
I am staying at a beautiful beach retreat on the island’s East coast, where powder‑soft sand meets the clearest turquoise water. Think palm‑fringed shores, a relaxed but luxurious feel, and those classic Zanzibar sunsets that melt into the Indian Ocean. The hotel has a lovely pool overlooking the beach, stylish rooms with garden views, and plenty of little touches that make it feel really special.
Days here are all about unhurried breakfasts, wandering along the shoreline, snorkelling in warm, crystal‑clear water and sipping something cold as the sky turns pink in the evenings. It is the kind of place that is perfect if you want that castaway‑chic feeling, but still enjoy comfort and a few indulgent treats along the way.
