How to Choose the Perfect Summer Holiday for Your Family!

As the days get longer and warmer, it's the perfect time to start planning your family's summer getaway! Finding the right destination can be tricky—balancing fun activities for the kids while making sure you get some well-earned relaxation.

As your Personal Travel Agent, my goal is to help you create the best holiday experience possible. To make things easier, here are my top tips for choosing your ideal family summer holiday!

UK or Overseas?

One of the first things to consider is whether you’d like to stay in the UK or travel abroad. The UK offers a wealth of beautiful destinations and exciting places to explore, but if you’re craving guaranteed sunshine and warm weather, it may be time to pack your bags and grab your passport!

Setting a Budget

Knowing your budget early on will help narrow down your options.

There are fantastic holiday deals available, and a lower cost doesn’t always mean lower quality. If you're dreaming of a once-in-a-lifetime trip, consider setting aside savings each month so you can splurge a little and enjoy a luxurious experience.

Beach or City Break?

Do you picture your family relaxing on golden sands or exploring a vibrant city? The choice depends on your family’s interests.

Beach holidays are perfect for relaxation but also offer plenty of fun with water sports, beach games, and, of course, endless ice cream!

City breaks are great for families who love sightseeing, shopping, and soaking up culture.

Generally, beach holidays are ideal for younger children, while older kids and teens may enjoy the adventure of a city escape.

Catering Options

If you're heading abroad, you'll need to decide on a catering plan that suits your family:

Self-Catering: Great for picky eaters and families who like flexibility. Having a kitchen means you can cook meals at your convenience and eat on your own schedule.

All-Inclusive: The stress-free option! Food, drinks, and snacks are all taken care of, making it easy for everyone to enjoy a variety of meals without the hassle.

Half-Board: A happy medium—breakfast and dinner are included, but you’ll have the chance to explore local restaurants or prepare your own lunch.

Making Memories

No matter where you go, the most important part of any family holiday is spending quality time together. Whether you're building sandcastles on the beach, exploring historical landmarks, or enjoying an adventurous day out, these are the moments you’ll cherish forever.
