A fabulous mini-moon We booked our honeymoon with Alex (Maxwell-Clarke) to a fabulous resort in Mauritius. Throughout the booking process, Alex was endlessly helpful and helped us look at many different options for destinations, hotels & flights to ensure our honeymoon was perfect. When our honeymoon was sadly cancelled last minute due to the issues in the Middle East, Alex took care of everything for us, ensuring we got a full refund and didn’t have anything to worry about in the run up to our wedding. Another travel counsellor, Craig, then kindly stepped in whilst Alex was on leave, and helped us book the most wonderful mini-moon to Malta. He was incredibly patient and supportive, again offering us countless options for destinations, flight times, hotels etc - and we ended up having just the best time ever at a really fabulous spa hotel. I’m so grateful to both Alex and Craig for their support during what could have been a really stressful experience, and for ensuring we had an amazing holiday despite the change of plans! We will be booking our replacement honeymoon with Alex and look forward to her planning another unforgettable trip for us.

Florida trip - 3rd time we used Alex & Travelcounsellers This was the 3rd time we used Alex and Travellcounsellers and her advice and support was invaluable, not only did she keep the cost down by pointing out an extra night at one hotel could be negated by paying less for an uber if we wanted to go back, she also got locations and tickets spot on for everything we needed and had asked for. Our trip to Florida was perfect and hassle free, so much so we already wish we were back!

Once again Alex Maxwell Clarke arranged an amazing trip for us. It was a special trip being our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we went beck to our honeymoon destination Rome. Expertly organised Canada trip by Alex Maxwell-Clarke This was my second booking with travel counsellor Alex Maxwell-Clarke and it was just as good as the first. As always, I wanted something quite complex, but this was no problem for Alex. My trip involved flights both international and domestic, a wildlife cruise, a 2-day train trip, hotels, one-way car hire, plenty of custom requests. A lot could have gone wrong, but nothing did. Thanks to Alex, it was both simple and a great customer service experience. I discussed with her what I wanted, what I didn't want, what my budget was, and shortly after I could sit back and relax, knowing everything was booked and I would have 24h support if anything happened. Amazing Crete Trip organised by Alex Maxwell - Clarke We have just returned from a fabulous holiday in Crete organised by the super talented Alex Maxwell -Clarke. As always Alex organised everything perfectly. Her hotel recommendation (Domes Noruz Chania) was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for the team at the hotel, I would have no hesitation recommending the hotel to anyone - and of course booking it through Alex. Alex organised a Cretan villages tour which was also fabulous. Every transfer be it airport transfers or trip transfers was also organised by Alex, and again everything was managed to perfection. We love booking through Alex - it’s the personal touch that makes all the difference. Right from booking, Alex is constantly in touch with any updates ( ie flight time changes etc) and is in contact whilst we are away. Knowing that Alex is on hand gives great peace of mind. She really is superb at what she does and can’t recommend her enough! Thank you Alex for another amazing trip - looking forward to the next one!

We booked a Tui package holiday to Salou through Alex Maxwell-Clarke at Travel Counsellors. There were 4 adults and two children in the party. We had already chosen a hotel however Alex recommended another one with better reviews and managed to stay within our budget. We weren’t disappointed, it was a great hotel in a good location, close to shops, bars and restaurants and the beach was only a 10 minute walk away. The hotel was very clean, rooms were lovely and the meals good. Staff were all very attentive and rooms and pools were cleaned daily. The slides and water shoots kept the kids happy and there was entertainment day and night. Alex took care of the booking for us and gave timely reminders when we should pay balances and check in for our flights etc. She text us as we arrived in the resort to check if everything was ok, this we consider to be fantastic bespoke service which we really appreciate. Although we didn’t need any assistance it’s comforting to know that Travel Counsellors are contactable 24 hours a day. If you want a trouble free holiday I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Alex to look after your next trip.

Yet another fantastic holiday thanks to the help of Alex Maxwell-Clarke at Travel Counsellors! We were very keen to visit at least a couple of Greek islands that we hadn't been to before... Alex had us sorted with everything we needed to know and all the security of a package holiday, despite having multiple stages. Alex Maxwell-Clarke was fabulous all the way through the recommendations to the booking and the aftercare too. Initially I contacted Alex as I wanted a trip to Italy as a lone traveller for the first time in approx 45 years. Alex recommended a trip to Sicily on a Solo-ish organised tour and then a few days relaxation at the end. The tour was fantastic and I saw so many sights of Sicily, and experienced so much with a mixed age group from all over the world. Alex checked the booking, sent all the paperwork, contacted me prior to leaving, again once after I’d arrived in Sicily, during the holiday and stayed up late into the night to watch that my delayed flight got back safely. I cannot express any greater praise than say she definately went the extra mile for me. I’ll do a separate review on the trip which was by YourG travellers and was also so good. The extra nights at the end of the holiday were fabulous, arranged by Alex and almost on the beach at Mondello. Fabulous holiday, great organisation by Alex.

Wonderful Maldives We have just had the most amazing holiday in the Maldives all booked by the brilliant Alex Maxwell-Clarke. I usually book holidays myself and this is one of the 1st times I have used a travel agent, but it definitely won’t be the last. This was a big treat of a holiday and I wanted to make sure we got it just right. Alex was always on hand for support and advice. We originally should have been flying with Emirates, Alex was brilliant at initially reassuring us of the situation and eventually being able to change our flights to a different airline. We used Alex Maxwell-Clarke to arrange a rather last minute summer holiday and she was fantastic! After being uninspired by the suggestions from two high street travel agents I was recommended Alex. I discussed with Alex the type of holiday we enjoy as a family and asked her for suggestions. Alex came up with a short list of 3 different countries. She explained why she had ruled out some other suggestions and it was a well thought out list. We decided to go for Canada and the trip she organised was amazing. Just returned from a fantastic holiday to Lapland organised for us by Alex Maxwell-Clarke. Don’t think it’s the normal type of holiday she deals with, but she quickly came up with options that met the brief and made the whole process super simple from start to finish. The holiday itself, was fabulous. We felt we had a true wilderness experience in a fantastic resort, that was a bit off the standard tourist trail. The activities were perfect with some great guides we felt we learnt lots and tried many new things. It was a holiday that worked for our whole family including our young sons, with everyone wanting to return sometime in the future.
