Viva Las Vegas: Bright Lights, Big Laughs & Unexpected Quiet Corners

I was lucky enough to jet off to Las Vegas for a friend’s birthday in October—and wow, did the city deliver! With perfect weather and a whirlwind of adventures, four days felt like a dazzling lifetime.

Our base? The Elara Aparthotel, just off the Strip. Fun fact: it’s the only hotel without its own casino, meaning peaceful evenings in a city that never sleeps. Plus, a quick 10-minute stroll through the Miracle Mile shopping centre landed us right in the heart of Vegas action.

Vegas is a neon jungle packed with food spots, bars, and shops galore. Thanks to the strong dollar, our shopping bags were a bit heavier—but hey, who needs justification when the deals are that good? We hit the Premium Outlets North for the best bargains.

Sunset drinks at Skyfall Bar (Delano Hotel) were pure magic—watching the sun dip as Vegas transformed into a sparkling spectacle below.

Dinner was nothing short of fabulous at Olives in the Bellagio, where we scored a terrace table with a front-row seat to the legendary dancing fountains. Perfect for celebrations or just pretending you’re living the high life.

The absolute highlight? A jaw-dropping helicopter ride over the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, and the Grand Canyon. We even touched down for a champagne picnic—a once-in-a-lifetime view with bubbles in hand. Pure bliss.

On our final night, we laughed till our cheeks hurt at the Duelling Pianos in Napoleon’s (Paris Hotel). Two pianists battling it out with crowd song requests—sing along, dance, and bid for your favorite tunes. The perfect end to a city that knows how to party.

Vegas isn’t just glitz and glam—it’s surprises, laughter, and moments that sparkle long after the neon fades. Need some sunshine, shopping, and spectacular experiences? Let’s talk Vegas!
