So firstly ‘all things Florida’ ….

I have been to Florida myself. I stayed on International Drive which is the main road that runs for 14 miles straight through Orlando. This is the best place to stay if you want a central base, are looking for a more affordable option and brilliant if you do not want to drive as lots of the hotels have free shuttle buses to all of the attractions. This is also a brilliant area for shopping and so many restaurants especially the ‘all you can eat' buffet restaurants.

If you don’t mind driving in Florida I would definitely consider a villa with private pool. These are usually located a little further from the parks but they give you the freedom of being in a home from home so you can relax by your own pool if you decide to take some days off the parks and the shopping.

And lastly …. You can stay in a massive choice of onsite hotels at both Disney and Universal. These are fantastic if you want to be right in the middle of the theme park action. Look out for the Free Disney Dining at Disney hotels, when you are booking your holiday, to get your free dining and drinks and other benefits such as early access to the theme parks.

The parks are obviously the main attraction in Orlando! Disney’s ‘Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and EPCOT (the big golf ball) and the two waterparks Typoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, with its ski lifts and toboggan runs as well as the scary Summit Plummet waterslide, are all included on the 14 day Magic Ticket.

'The Hollywood Tower of Terror' at Hollywood Studios is definitely my favourite ride and I loved the World Showcase at EPCOT where you walk your way through the different countries including Japan, China, England, America and Norway with each country having its own shops, restaurants and rides and lots of other little hidden gems. EPCOT also has one of the best firework displays I ever seen!

And then the other Universal parks including Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Epic Universe and the Volcano Bay waterpark are all included on another 14 day ticket, At these parks you have the high speed rollercoasters like Jurassic World VelociCoaster and Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, plus fully immersive lands like The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I loved these parks as they have some of the older rides from films to you can step back in time.

We did travel down to Tampa to Busch Gardens which was really good and has lots of rides but lots of animals too. Although I had a great day there, now that the newer parks and 'Animal Kingdom' has opened, I don’t really feel there is any need to go that far when you have everything around you in Orlando.

Last but not least you have Seaworld and Discovery Cove with their interactive dolphin experiences.

Next up ‘everything Disneyland Paris’ ….

I have been to Disneyland Paris four times and have stayed at both the Newport Bay and the Cheyenne Hotels. For the lower price, the Cheyenne Hotel is great, especially for kids as the rooms have a cowboy/Woody from Toy Story theme and it is set in a Wild West town.

Disneyland Paris just gets better each time. The classic Disneyland fairytale-style park is as magical as ever. Centered around Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, with five themed lands with iconic rides, parades, and character meet-and-greets and now with the re-imagined Disney Adventure World where you will immerse yourself in Marvel, Pixar, and the new World of Frozen.

Although you will get to meet lots of characters throughout the parks my top tip is to make a reservation for one of the character dining experiences. We are at ‘Cafe Mickey’ in the Disney Village during our stay and the characters come round and meet you at your table so you get lots of time to have pictures taken without the crowds! You might even get to see Minnie and Pluto dancing together on the tables like we did!

Hotels at Disneyland Paris include the off-site Davy Crockett Ranch with self-catering woodland cabins, and then the onsite Cars themed Route 66 Hotel Santa Fe, the Toy Story themed Wild West Hotel Cheyenne, the rustic mountain lodge Sequoia Lodge, nautical-themed Newport Bay Club by Lake Disney, the Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, a modern hotel showcasing Marvel artwork and then the Disneyland Hotel …. The 5-star royal residence located at the very entrance

When I return to Disneyland Paris I will definitely stay at the Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel as I just think it looks fab!
