MSC Virtuosa 2 Nights to Cherbourg

I recently returned from a short family cruise on board MSC Virtuosa and I am pleased to report it was absolutely fabulous.

We had an amazing time, plus really appreciated the added value that came from the extras I qualified for as a Diamond member of MSC’s loyalty programme. I really feel MSC gives some of the best benefits of all the cruise line loyalty programmes. Something to bear in mind if you are a regular cruiser.

With this being our fourth cruise on Virtuosa, and our second 2-nighter, we had a game plan to make the most of our short trip.

We boarded just after 10am and immediately made all our reservations – thermal suite at the spa, speciality dining restaurant, registered for kids club, checked our time and table set up in the main dining room and booked theatre shows on the app.

We were very happy with our deck 8 balcony cabin, received great service in all the restaurants and bars we used and there were sunbeds and seats free in the bars/lounges when ever we wished. The only long queue we saw was at disembarkation in the Galleria but this moved fast.

Our children loved the kids club, even going for dinner with the staff and their new friends on the second night. They also loved time in the splash park, our meal at the teppanyaki restaurant, the interactive games near Rob the robotic bartender and swimming in the tropical indoor pool.

I particularly enjoyed my time at the spa, the delicious seafood at the teppanyaki, the ABBA theatre show and drinks in the Sky lounge.
