Just come back from another great holiday organised by Barbara, this time in Fuerteventura. Throughout the process she is always friendly, helpful and organised, even writing out our baggage labels for us and providing a map of the island. Barbara also kept an eye on the seat reservations ready to alert us if we needed to pay to reserve seats in advance of check-in to ensure our family could sit together. In the end we didn’t need to pay as she was able to get us seats together when online check-in opened 24hrs before flying both outbound and inbound. Barbara is easily contactable even when abroad to clarify/resolve any issues. Whilst away she emailed us the boarding passes so all we needed to do was print them out at the hotel and present at the check-in desk thus making the journey smoother and less stressful. Absolutely fantastic service - we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Barbara! She oversaw such little details that you don’t get from a high street or online tour operator. She gave us advice on flying into a different airport (which ended up saving us a few hundred pounds). She checked us in online, seats pre-booked, she even wrote out our luggage labels! When we received our tickets she had included local maps/attraction leaflets for our destination which we found very helpful as we could plan excursions before our arrival. We had to go through transit at Philadelphia to connect with our onward flight down to Florida - there was a big storm down the East Coast and Barbara took the time to text us and check that we had connected with our flight as there had been delays. It’s little touches like this that make you believe the Travel Counsellors motto “With us it’s personal”. Barbara’s knowledge of all things ‘travel’ is fantastic. She is very quick to reply to any queries (and we had a lot of them). Can’t see us going anywhere else in future to book holidays - the only problem we’ll have is where to go.

Fantastic! We booked our holiday with Barbara for the first time and visited Protaras in Cyprus in August. We asked her to recommend places based on the fact we love sandy beaches, to be near restaurants and a bit of nightlife with 2 daughters, one a teenager. Within hours I had a choice to browse through, mainly Greece which is where I asked for. Barbara added on the one in Cyprus which she said she thinks 'ticks all the boxes'! It was perfect and we booked it straight away. Once there we loved the place. Our 2 bed apartment (Corelli Spa) was clean, friendly and a good size with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so the kids had their own which was a godsend. Upon our return we asked Barbara to look at Greece for us. Virtually the same day a big list with suggestions came back and bingo..... another gem was there, this time in Elounda, Crete. It looks amazing so we have booked and are looking forward to it next summer. Barbara also came to our house with all the documents and tags for luggage written out. Absolutely amazing support and help with planning me husband's 40th. Would definitely recommend. I have just returned from a holiday sourced, suggested and booked for me by Barbara. I wasn’t an easy one to please and wanted top quality on a reasonable budget. Oh! And I was traveling alone so wanted to feel safe. Barbara suggested I looked at a resort called Ras Al Khaimah (never heard of it before and for those who still haven’t, it’s a fabulous resort about 50 mins drive from Dubai airport) Like most people would, I took her suggestion and trawled the internet to find what I naively thought would be a bargain compared to what Barbara was going to offer me. . How wrong I was, MYTH: Travel Counsellors will be more expensive than booking direct!! NO THEY ARE NOT! I found a b&b version in a hotel of my choice that would have cost me £200 more than the deal Barbara got me in the same hotel, on my dates of choice, fully inclusive with private transfers!! The whole holiday surpassed every expectation I had. . A truly perfect location for me and I am so grateful that Barbara had the experience and insight to suggest the resort that was right for my needs. I am guessing that is the greatest bonus in using Barbara, she offers a wealth of knowledge and insight into resorts and regions that some of us don’t even know exist! Quite simply I can honestly say if I was booking a weekend trip, a spa retreat, a holiday or anything of that nature I will look to use Barbara and suggest everyone does the same. .
