Why the Amalfi Coast is actually better in the Golden Window
The noise, the crowds, the queues – yes, this is a version of the Amalfi Coast that involves bumper-to-bumper traffic and elbowing through crowds in Positano, but there is another version, and it’s the one I want really you to see. I call it the Golden Window.
If you head to the coast in late spring (say, April/May) or early autumn (September/October), the vibe completely shifts in the Amalfi Coast, and here are three simple reasons why it’s my personal favourite time to book a trip for my clients:
Spring Scents-sation
In April, the lemon groves are in full bloom. The air literally smells like heaven! It’s like a beautiful scent of Spring.
Tables Without the Wait
Imagine walking into that family-run trattoria and getting the best seat in the house without a three-week lead time… I can always recommend, plan and book your table so you don’t have to lift a finger!
The VIP Treatment
Hotel staff have more time to breathe, meaning you get that extra-personal touch that makes a holiday feel like a retreat. Voila!
My Insider Tip…
Don’t just stay in the big-name towns. Ask me about the hidden gems like Ravello or Praiano for a totally different perspective of the coast. I absolutely adore finding quaint places that are lesser-known but offer the same vibe-checks as those potentially crowded hotspots.
