Aruba: The One Happy Island That Has It All
Aruba proudly carries the slogan “One Happy Island”, and after spending a few unforgettable days exploring its beaches, hotels, cuisine, and culture, I can confidently say, it lives up to every word.
I’ve just returned from an incredible FAM trip to Aruba, and it truly lives up to its name, “One Happy Island.”
With 365 days of sunshine, a location outside the hurricane belt, and easy access from the UK via Amsterdam, Aruba is one of the most effortless long-haul destinations to recommend. Even better, the US dollar is widely accepted, there’s no visa required for British travellers, making travel completely hassle-free.
During my stay, I experienced a fantastic range of hotels, from luxury beachfront resorts to boutique hideaways like Boardwalk Boutique Hotel, set on a former coconut plantation, to adults-only favourites such as Bucuti & Tara on Eagle Beach.
Two standout experiences really elevated the trip. Our visit to Alto Vista Winery was exceptional, guided by Newton and hosted by Hubery, our sommelier, it was an immersive and memorable tasting that felt completely unique in a Caribbean setting. We also toured the Aruba Aloe Factory & Museum, where we learned about the island’s long-standing aloe production heritage and saw first-hand how these world-renowned products are made.
The food throughout the trip was outstanding, every restaurant delivered not just incredible flavours, but atmosphere and creativity too.
Whether you’re looking for relaxation, adventure, or a twin-centre holiday with destinations like New York, Miami, Curaçao or Bonaire, Aruba ticks every box.
