Why I love the Aurea experience on MSC Cruises
If you’re looking at an MSC cruise and want to make your holiday feel that little bit more special, Aurea is one of my favourite upgrades.
For me, it’s not about having a huge list of extras. It’s about the little things that make the whole cruise feel easier, more relaxed and just that bit more premium.
With Aurea, you get some of the best-located cabins, plus:
- Priority embarkation and disembarkation
- Prosecco and chocolates waiting for you
- Bathrobe, slippers and upgraded bathroom amenities
- Flexible dining, so you can eat when you want rather than working around set times
- Access to a private sundeck
- Access to the thermal spa area
All of those things add up to a cruise that feels a little more effortless.
And honestly, the flexible dining is one of the things I particularly love.
When you’re cruising as a family, having the freedom to decide when you want to eat can make such a difference. Some days you’ll want an early dinner. Other days you might still be enjoying the pool, coming back from an excursion or simply not be hungry yet.
Aurea takes away one more thing you have to think about. And I think that’s the real appeal.
It’s not necessarily the right choice for everyone, but if you want something a little more special than the standard MSC experience without going all the way up to Yacht Club, I think Aurea hits a really lovely sweet spot.
It’s the kind of upgrade where you actually notice the difference throughout your holiday, rather than having a few extras that sound nice when you book but you barely think about once you’re onboard.
Having cruised with my own family in an Aurea cabin before, it’s definitely something I’d choose again.
