When most people think of expedition cruising, Antarctica is usually the first destination that springs to mind. But today's expedition voyages go far beyond the polar regions, unlocking some of the world's most remote, wildlife-rich and culturally fascinating places on Earth.

I recently attended the CLIA Expedition Showcase in Svalbard, where I stepped on board five expedition ships and learned from industry experts about some of the world's most exciting expedition cruise destinations. It was fascinating to discover just how diverse expedition cruising has become.
