In November 2019 we took a short trip to Southern France to watch the Worcester Warriors play Castres in the European Challenge Cup.

We decided to stay in Carcassonne which is around an hour and a half from Castres, but it was well worth it. Carcassonne should really be on everyone's bucket list, one of the most amazing medieval castles you will ever see, just stunning and all with sight of the Pyrenees. November was perfect time to visit, the local restaurants were more than happy to welcome 16 tourists to eat and the food was as expected in France just superb.

We had an amazing weekend (despite losing the rugby)....definitely recommended for a city break.
