Magic in Marrakech
I recently spent four unforgettable nights in Marrakech, and I couldn’t wait to share the highlights!
We stayed at the beautiful Pickalbatros Hôtel Du Golf, a peaceful 5-star hotel just outside the city. It was the perfect place to relax after a day exploring — spacious rooms, lovely pools, and amazing service.
We had a private guide who showed us around the city’s most fascinating spots: the quiet Jewish Quarter, the stunning Bahia Palace, and the colourful souks where we wandered (and shopped) to our hearts’ content. The Medina was buzzing with life, and the main square, Jemaa el-Fnaa, was pure energy — street performers, food stalls, and that famous Marrakech sunset.
Speaking of sunsets, we ended our trip with dinner at Dardar, a rooftop restaurant with breathtaking views and delicious Moroccan food. It was the perfect way to say goodbye.
Even a failed sunrise hot air balloon experience (cancelled due to it being too windy) did not dampen this amazing break. It was still lovely to be out in the desert enjoying breakfast as the sun rose behind the Atlas mountains.
Marrakech is vibrant, full of culture, and completely unforgettable. Highly recommend for a short, exciting break! I will not wait another 20 years to return.
