15 Days Across Singapore, Bali & Dubai: My Personal Journey

Singapore, Bali & Dubai - A 15-Day Multi-Centre Holiday Itinerary & Travel Guide

Jayna Burgess on 23 Aug 2025

There are some trips that stay with you forever, and this was definitely one of them. Over 15 unforgettable days, I travelled through three incredible destinations, Singapore, Bali and Dubai, each offering something completely different. From futuristic skylines and cultural experiences to tropical beaches and luxury resorts, this trip had the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation and unforgettable memories. As a Travel Counsellor, I always believe there's no substitute for personal experience, and this journey gave me so many ideas, tips and recommendations that I now share with my clients when planning similar holidays.

Days 1-3: Singapore – A City That Never Stops Impressing

Our adventure began in Singapore, a destination that is often overlooked as more than just a stopover. From the moment we arrived, I was reminded why I love this city so much. It is incredibly clean, easy to navigate and packed with things to see and do. One of our first visits was to the spectacular Gardens by the Bay. The Cloud Forest was every bit as impressive as I'd hoped, with its towering indoor waterfall and lush tropical landscape. We also explored Floral Fantasy, which felt like stepping into a colourful dream.

For Harry Potter fans, Visions of Magic was a real highlight and something a little different from the usual tourist attractions. No visit to Singapore would be complete without exploring Chinatown. Wandering through the streets, visiting temples and soaking up the atmosphere was a fantastic way to experience the city's cultural side. Of course, I couldn't leave without visiting the famous Raffles Hotel for a Singapore Sling. It's touristy, yes, but sometimes the classics are classics for a reason!

Family Fun at Universal Studios Singapore. One of the standout experiences was spending a day at Universal Studios Singapore on Sentosa Island. With thrilling rides, fantastic themed areas and plenty for families of all ages, it's easy to see why it remains one of Singapore's most popular attractions. A Coeliac-Friendly Surprise As someone who travels with coeliac disease, finding good gluten-free options is always important. I was delighted to discover Tiann's Bakery, which offers a fantastic range of gluten-free treats and meals. It quickly became one of my favourite finds of the trip and is now a recommendation I regularly pass on to clients.

Days 4-9: Bali – Culture, Adventure & Total Relaxation

After the energy of Singapore, Bali offered an entirely different pace of life. Our time in Bali centred around Ubud, which remains one of my favourite areas of the island. Surrounded by lush jungle, rice terraces and traditional villages, it feels a world away from the busy beach resorts.

Chasing Sunrise at Mount Batur. One of the earliest starts of the trip turned out to be one of the most rewarding. We set off before dawn for a sunrise jeep adventure at Mount Batur, and watching the sun rise over the volcanic landscape was absolutely worth the early alarm. It's one of those experiences where no photograph truly does it justice.

Discovering Balinese Culture. One of the things I love about Bali is how connected the island remains to its traditions. We visited the stunning Tanah Lot Temple, one of Bali's most iconic landmarks, perched dramatically on a rock formation surrounded by the sea. We also took part in a traditional Balinese cooking class, which was a fantastic way to learn more about local culture through food.

Time to Unwind. Of course, Bali is also about slowing down and enjoying life. A visit to the renowned Bodyworks Spa was exactly what was needed after several busy sightseeing days, while afternoons spent at Potato Head Beach Club provided the perfect setting to relax, enjoy great food and watch the sun disappear into the Indian Ocean.

Staying in Ubud. Our stay at Wapa di Ume Ubud was a particular highlight. Set amongst beautiful rice fields, it offered the perfect blend of luxury and tranquillity. Waking up to those views each morning was something special.

Days 10-15: Dubai – Luxury, Adventure & Endless Possibilities

Our final destination was Dubai, where modern luxury meets Arabian tradition. Dubai is a destination that constantly evolves, and every time I visit, there seems to be something new to discover. Atlantis The Palm. For this stay, we based ourselves at Atlantis The Palm. The resort itself is a destination in its own right, offering incredible dining, direct access to Aquaventure Waterpark and spectacular views across the Palm. Whether travelling as a family, couple or group of friends, it's easy to see why Atlantis remains one of Dubai's most popular resorts.

Desert Adventures - One of the highlights was heading out into the desert.

Experiencing the vast dunes at sunset was a complete contrast to the city's skyscrapers and shopping malls. The desert safari remains one of Dubai's must-do experiences and offers a fascinating glimpse into the region's heritage. A Special Evening Above the Desert. One of the most memorable moments of the entire trip was an evening balloon experience. Watching the landscape transform as the sun set created one of those travel moments that stays with you long after you've returned home. Incredible Dining. Dubai certainly knows how to do food. A standout meal was dinner at Seafire Steakhouse at Atlantis, where the quality of both the food and service was exceptional.

Why This Multi-Centre Holiday Works So Well. What makes Singapore, Bali and Dubai such a fantastic combination is the variety.

In just over two weeks, you can experience: World-class city attractions in Singapore. Ancient culture and tropical landscapes in Bali. Luxury, adventure and desert experiences in Dubai. Each destination complements the others perfectly, creating a holiday that feels like three trips in one.

My Travel Counsellor Tip.

Many people assume a multi-centre holiday like this is complicated to arrange, but with the right planning it can be surprisingly seamless. The key is choosing the right flight routings, balancing sightseeing with relaxation, and selecting hotels that match your travel style and budget. Because I've experienced these destinations myself, I can help with the details that make a real difference, from where to stay and what to see, to gluten-free dining recommendations and hidden gems that don't always make it into the guidebooks.
