Saddle Up for a Solo Adventure in Colorado.For one adventurous solo traveller, a trip to America meant stepping outside the ordinary and experiencing something completely different — their very first ranch holiday at the Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch in Loveland, Colorado. Set across an incredible 3,200 acres in the Colorado foothills, Sylvan Dale is a family-owned and operated working horse and cattle ranch, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and close to Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. Nestled alongside the beautiful Big Thompson River, it was the perfect setting for a peaceful escape, with plenty of opportunities to embrace the great outdoors and experience authentic ranch life.During the stay, there was no shortage of adventure. Days were filled with horseback riding, scenic trail rides, arena activities, guided hikes and wagon rides, with the chance to learn more about horsemanship along the way. The ranch also offered fly fishing, tennis, volleyball, swimming, a hot tub and evenings relaxing over billiards. With three meals a day included, there was plenty of time to enjoy hearty ranch-style food before heading out for another day of exploring. For a first-time ranch visitor travelling solo, the experience offered a fantastic mix of adventure, relaxation and a real taste of the American West. From riding through the Colorado landscape to enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the ranch, it was a memorable way to discover a completely different side of America — and a holiday filled with new experiences, beautiful scenery and plenty of cowboy spirit.
