Vietnam Unveiled: One Inspiring Holiday, Endless Possibilities
When my clients returned from Vietnam (with a Singapore stopover), their gratitude and energy were truly infectious. They described a journey filled with contrasts: serene mornings and heady nightlife, ancient temples and modern skylines, all stitched together by seamless arrangements, warm hospitality, and just a dash of adventure. If you’re seeking a journey that transcends the ordinary, here’s a glimpse into their unforgettable trip that could be yours to discover…
Day One: Touchdown in Singapore
After a long overnight flight, nothing beats the comfort of a welcoming hotel. The Clan, our clients’ pick, offered modern luxury in the heart of Singapore.
From there, they wandered the city exploring everything from the legendary Raffles Hotel (no visit is complete without a world-famous Singapore Sling) to the magical Sky Garden at night. hey loved the hotel’s rooftop pool, the included “tea master” ritual, cashless convenience, and the lively, safe streets.
Hanoi: Vibrant Chaos and New Sensations
After gliding from Singapore’s order into the exhilarating frenzy of Hanoi, they checked into the beautifully located Oriental Jade Hotel. Central, stylish, and run by exceedingly helpful staff, it became their sanctuary from the city’s thrilling chaos.
A guided walking tour revealed secret corners and hidden gems, giving them the confidence to try new things.
Halong Bay: Floating Serenity
A smooth three-hour transfer delivered them to the magical waters of Halong Bay. Their cruise ship captured classic Vietnamese charm with comfortable cabins, generous meals, and a full programme of activities. Sunrise tai chi, cave explorations, and sunset “happy hour” created treasured memories. Their tip: opt for two nights to truly unwind on the water.

Ho Chi Minh City: History and High Spirits
A short flight to dynamic Ho Chi Minh City and a stay at the central Caravelle Saigon opened up a more cosmopolitan side to Vietnam. Highlights included sunrise drives to the Cu Chi Tunnels (the early start meant they had the site blissfully to themselves), meaningful stops at local art collectives, and afternoons spent relaxing by the pool. A hop-on, hop-off bus tour was a fun way to embrace the city’s history and culture.

Hue: Tranquil Retreats and Spa Bliss
Sometimes travel throws curveballs, and Hue’s legendary rain forced our travellers to slow down and savour the stunning Pilgrimage Village retreat. Complimentary massages, a locally loved eco-café, and shuttle rides to Hue’s city centre offered restorative downtime—proof that the best holidays balance discovery with relaxation.
Hoi An: Lanterns, Laughter, and Lasting Memories
Their journey ended on a high in Hoi An at La Siesta, where an upgrade to a suite set the tone for pure indulgence. Historic floods were a recent memory but the city sparkled, especially after dark with lantern-lit boat rides and vibrant live music. Excursions to Ba Na Hills (for that iconic “hands bridge”) and hilarious coconut boat rides delivered plenty of laughs.
Stuffed with local charm and warmth, Hoi An quickly became their favourite stop. From the friendly hotel staff to spontaneous roadside adventures, it’s a place that captures hearts.
